idk late games like it deosnt matter how good u support how good it goes for the core player, like recently we had a really brood crybaby, i make headress i make basi i make him go like 5/1 still he cry like baby cuz mars pick carry. we stomped each lane he died once and abandon teh game right after mars got abandon. this seems to only fucking happen to my team idk what im supposted to do. people fucking given up right in picking phase cuz bad core pickers even though they didnt make good picks either

Everyone gets thrower. Its how you' deal with them that matters.

Picks matter. 70% of the game is determined by the picks. I can probably predict with a 90% accuracy which team would win simply base on draft.

Dont believe me? Find a random game you were in in the last week tell me the draft of both side and roles and i tell you who most likely win. Then you can compare what i said to your game

                Radiant :
                1-Razor
                2-Medusa
                3-Underlord
                4-Spirit breaker
                5-Necrophos

                Dire :
                1-Weaver
                2-Death prophet
                3-Axe
                4-Queen of pain
                5-Undying

My guess is it is razor and necro vs axe qop, medusa vs dp, underlord sb vs weaver undying.

Razor necro would win. medusa draw, underlord sb would draw.
Here is where I see the weakness with the draft. Dire does not want to go late game. Radiant wants to go late game and has 3 heroes that excel at high ground defense. My guess is since axe would have a lost lane most likely his dagger timing is late. Underlord having an even lane should have all the defensive items by 20 mins. At 20ish mins dire would try to push but with only axe as a stun and him having a bad game ganks will fail and eventually radiant overruns them. Leading to Radiant wins.

What I would change for dire for them to maybe win this game would be either pair weaver with a stunning support or not to pick weaver and try for something like antimage for late game or jug for tempo game to try to end early. As for bottom lane if you pick up a treant or snapfire instead of the qop you can probably win against razor. Still it is hard to salvage for dire they have too little control in fights and needed axe to have a lot of farm to do anything. Most fights would be over the moment axe jumps in and medusa ults.

dont be thrilled by this ...

                    @grimm

radiant wins unless they are bad players compaired to dire

@grimm im gonna go ahead and vote for the radiant draft on this one, even thought the dusa might get griefy about a pos 5 necrophos, i believe that lineup is stronger.

most picks are fine, but some are just excruciatingly bad, idk why people pick sniper and pudge in my pubs on god

Picks are overrated. You must be an amazing player NineO_OSix that you can predict with 90% accuracy. I'm shocked you are Divine 1 player and not TI material one. Even games in high immortal bracket are totally unpredictable (people lose favourable matchups and can't group for 20min), not to mention the lower one. Of course picking good heroes maximizes chance of winning the game, but it's rarely auto win one. In my last 50 games, maybe 5 felt like they were lost in the draft so hard that they were pretty much unwinnable.

The higher the average skill level in the game, the more important are picks. Once you are in legend, the picks definitely do matter. The major problem that drafts used to face is the lack of tanks. If everyone is squishy the opponent carry like slark can easily crush everyone.
