Yeah, there was a thread here where he bragged so much and I argued with him on another account. He kept insisting he could win 95%+ games and posted some screenshots(where the only thing which was 95% was the amount of party ranked) as proof.
Just like these accounts, proves nothing, since MOST OF THE GAMES ARE PARTY RANKED. You can't get a huge winstreak by playing solo ranked, no matter how good you are. SOLO is different than PARTY. Sure you can win most of the games, but not 95% of them, much less 160 in a row... you can't even win 60.
There are some variables you cannot control. Your primary hero gets banned, you get ruiners (destroying items), leavers, you get matched up vs other smurfs who will take advantage of your team's lesser skill and also get fat just like you... and MOST IMPORTANTLY - you will lose a roll and you won't get the lane you need to dominate the game(or if you insist you will get stuff like double mid and tiny tossers which further increases the chances of ruining). Stuff like that happens much less in party ranked as there aren't 4 other idiots you have to deal with.
P.S. I'm not sure whether you can overcome all of this below say 2000 mmr(as I have never played 0-2000mmr), but you surely cannot overcome it once you get near 3k range.
if you are truly an otherwordly player in 3k, one can easily take over the game before even 10 minutes from the mid lane
i never got a 160 winstreak, the highest i had was 81 from 2k to 4k, don't have the acc though as that was back in the OLD alchemist era where i'd just get 6 slotted at 20-25 mintues and run down midlane. the 2nd highest acc was 60 something, i think story time posted it.
@coconut, that's not true at all, those party matches were 2 man or 3 man at best, i avoid 5 mans because they're harder to control than solo matches, there were also lots of solo matches in between those party games as you can see. The acc i got 81 winstreak on was pure solo.
excluding someone intentionally feeding couriers down the midlane, i could literally get an acc from 1k to 4k+ without losing a single match.
If I can win up to 75-80% of the games from 1k to 2.4k MMR (crusader to archon 2) and I;m not even remotely close to Cookie's skill level, I assure you, he's more than capable of winning at least 60-70 if not more games in a row in 1k and 2k mmr.
Games here are literally so easy if you're capable of playing any of heroes below:
Meepo, Slark, SF, Arc Warden, TA, Invoker, Storm and list goes on.
If I can maintain solid 80% winrate over 80 games with Meepo, are you really in any doubt that better players can't do the same but with even better results?
Cookie is one of the best if not the best players on Dotabuff in my opinion, he's not doing false anything, he's just that good.

^when u say party mmr is different than solo mmr i dont understand. Who do u think he played with in party? Some coordinated team? He literally just played with random ppl who asked to join, some regularly and some not.
Sure in party there arent game ruiners but lets be real how many games in 100 games do u get ruiners.

Skill is a relative term to the rest of the playerbase, so compared to a 2k i am good.

Having a core role and a support with you is all you need to win the game. See I smurf with heroes like zeus(that aren't really ideal for boosting mmr unlike a hero like storm or SF or TA) and half of my games I have to fight for mid and argue in chat with retards. Just impossible to get the lane you need, let alone win the game.

A ruiner is a dumbass core who refuses to buy a BKB vs 4+ stuns. A ruiner is a tard who keeps initiating fights while you clearly don't have teamfight potential, a ruiner is someone who doesn't ward the map yet plays support. There are TONS of ruiners that don't necessarily feed the courier, but ruin the game with their obsolete bullshit. A ruiner is someone who didn't get the lane so he gets tilted everytime he dies and pings you cos of course it is your fault that he is dead. In turn he gets more tilted and plays more aggro constantly feeding them, even though it isn't actually on purpose, he is just bad with emotions.

You are totally, TOTALLY, clueless. They marked mid cause they want to play sniper mid. Most of them do not care about you or anyone else. You lose the roll, you lose the lane. If you somehow force yourself on the lane you will get multiple reports and end up in lower behavior pool getting x10 worse games. BEEN THERE, SEEN THAT, TRIED THAT.
I have 4 commends per win and have it advertised on my profile. When I played a lot and started boosting this account, nobody, NOBODY gave a FUCKING shit that I upped my medal 4 times in the last few days. Most of the games I had to snap 1st pick a hero and was regularly getting reports even though I carried the games.

If it were up to me, people would get perma banned for stupidity and for playing overpowered trash heroes (brood, invoker, sky mage, pudge) - if anything, games would be much cleaner and kids would get punished for their irresponsible arrogance. VALVE should charge a monthly $ sum to play ranked, only then we will start having better games.

Getting this crazy streaks and winrates is usually quite impressive and rare as it's not an everyday thing to see certain numbers. Though most of these scenarios happen somewhere below one's skill level. Playing in very much lower brackets (several K-mmr) than one's skill group can make for matches of trivial difficulty for the "smurf" to such an extent that -unless for insane scenarios- his teammates' negative impact not only will be negligible, but it will even be significantly reduced, by enemies being put behind, thus putting your teammates ahead. Almost like playing with bots. Considering a 6k player is starting at 2k mmr and theoretically secures his win at the laning stage 95% of the times due to all the factors and exploits related to huge skill difference (snowballing, outfarming cores, getting enabled uncontested etc), it takes 80-85 wins of mmr to gain to reach 4k where matches would stop being winnable with a 100% rate (as mentioned).All this to say that Long streaks and high winrates like these are rare and hard, but not impossible to achieve. Furthermore, you're gonna need specific heroes for feats like this, trying to do the same with supports or heroes that lack some versatility is going to be much harder. And not to forget about LUCK being a considerable chunk of success for these.
In conclusion though these "crafted" rates end up mostly being merely "showers" due to their insignificance and inconsistence at peer-level comparison. It's all fun and games for the stats but at the end of the day it's like as if Ronaldo went to play the amateur cup at the local football club scoring 12 goals. Well if Ronaldo's professional friends only could score up to 8 goals in similar teams then yes, it's remarkable that he did better than his peers. but see, you're gonna need a solid point of reference to make solid deductions!
I would be more impressed to see people keep high win rates at their actual brackets, among peers (or almost) and in less than optimized conditions. For my humble rank i'm proud of having 65% win, at my actual bracket, on Brewmaster, hero that i started "main"-ing this ranked season and that last 6 months my Overall winrate is around 55%. It's cool for me to see brewmaster among my other "old" heroes - especially carries- with similar playtime that i used to play with 3-4 years ago and smurfing them over with a +15% win rate on them.
True, but that depends on your goals, it wouldn't be hard to maintain a 60%+ winrate even at 6k+ given actual practice.
