Medusa is slow, deals close to no damage and is heavily countered by any mana burn heroe. The only good way of playing her is as a huge counterpick to ck as he's one of the few illusion heroe that won't build manaburn and relie on a very long cooldown illusion based ult. Medusa is great against illus, but is getting reckt once faced against diffusal or mana burn.

As a medusa player, don't do it.
Medusa is strong vs correct opponent. However, good invoker, AM, nyx or any agi with diffusal blade (e.g. troll, naga, or spec) can counter you bad.
She needs her core item first before she gets effective. Which can hurt your team especially if you are in a disadvantage.
Alchemist for me is a good hero to spam at 3k. Just learn how to farm fast and your good.
Take a look at the 5 other medusa threads that have been posted here in the past few weeks. She's currently a terrible hero. The only time she's at all useful is vs CK of you get aghs.
Her highest winrate is 44.8% in the 2-3K bracket. Every other bracket is even lower and she has a sub 40% winrate at 5K+.

after first two games he must have felt unbeatable, like just found out new way to boost
She can work in a drow line-up but yeah, she gets rekt pretty bad by other cores; esp am and pl
3k scrub with 100 games with dusa and 70% wr.
You pick dusa when:
There is no am/PL.
You have drow in your team
You have possibility of last pick or they picked carry and mid already.
If there is no hard farmer in a team (am/sven/axe) who are often going for jungle.
With drow in team, i have 80%. I even go to jungle with dusa when there is drow + not farming mid. It is pretty sure win.
Ps dusa can come online quickly. 25min into a game, you sit on top net worth with phase, aquila, maelstrom, skadi and go high ground. With drow, you can actually group up 15min into the game and start taking t2s. One thing you need is counteriniciation.
One thing i hate is dusa spammers. Right after techies spammers and tinker spammers.

If you spam a hero you wont get any better at dota. what you should realistically do is play heroes like (forgive me) Necro or am or stuff like that. You have to play 3 meta heroes in order to truly understand dota because you will learn why these heroes are good and when they get nerfed and other heroes get broken you drop these hereos and piggy back on the heroes that are meta. This makes it so you are slowly increasing your hero pool and gaining mmr at the same time because the heroes themselves are good.
spamming a hero doesn't mean spamming ONLY THAT HERO, you can spam 3-4 heroes and still be comfortable with half the hero pool to a certain degree
