no damage = no good item

early bkb means later on ur bkb is super low and u get ultra fucked

plus if u play well and can make ur allies tank their stuns u have higher "max impact" with another item sometimes

imagine this: ur storm and ur trying to win, but ur team is making it hard

do u go orchid so u can kill their weaver who is 11/2/7 and carrying their team, or do u buy bkb so u can roll ur face on the keyboard and not worry about getting stunned when u go on lich

It's not even a good item

its defineitley necessary a lot of the time

i personally don't do it because i want to get as good as possible at outplaying my opponents with as least resources as possible.

depends on the timing of games. if a bkb can help u come online in the mid game to gain a lot of map control, get it. most people fall into the trap of not predicting the enemy power spike, or what they need to do to win (because the erarly game was easy).

well firstly, cookie doesnt play heroes that usually go bkb. so there's that as well.

Bkb is a timing item, if you buy it too early it can be a big mistake especially in pubs where you often have to snowball/bait your teammates to some extent. That being said buying it too late can be just as bad, you should have an idea of when you want to hit your peak relative to the enemy heroes/team and buy bkb around then, but for most pub players this is too hard.

Hero and enemy lineup dependent really. But when I see my cores playing with Troll or PA against magic dmg lineup and trying to build an mkb mid game with still no bkb I could just disconnect right away.

i played with a PA who went battlefury after deso against heavy disable line up and then proceeded to be useless/afk for entire mid game and then we lost. you know sometimes item choices really make you think. instead of snowballing the early game lead, he decides to try and farm a battlefury mid game and get bkb way too late.

Why buy bkb when rapier is in the game?

I just have had bad experiences buying bob except on pa . Made me a little hesitant to buy it .

It depends entirely what you're having problems with. If it's magical damage then in a lot of cases it is better to just tank up early, if it is CC to the point where you can't do anything, then you should get a bunch of initiation items instead depending on the hero, then wait for them to throw shit at your team and you jump when everyone is low and has no CC anymore. Then, get a BKB later, and use it only a few times (time it as such that it's only approaching 5 sec when you are already winning really hard), win decisive fights, push high ground.

This can be really important with heroes like Sven because they are just terrible with a 5 second BKB.
