Alright folks....im procrastination god....I literally won't do anything ....wouldn't study a word until the day b4 the exam....now that worked for me really well before getting into college and always got straight As. ...but now. ...in college things are a bit different. ...I failed an exam and basically disappointed everyone....im just wondering if anyone had experienced this (most of what I do to avoid studying is dota related) and has actually some rules he follows to not let dota take over his life....
med student here so I'm seeking help from the guy called the doctor in this forum but yeah anyone who has experienced this and dealt with it will have his opinion appreciated. ..(p.s. dont tell me to quit dota cuz I probably won't). .... .

I procrastinated a lot in highschool and I wud recommend not procrastinating.
Idk u just have to start giving more shits and just stop getting distracted. I hate the concept of work but once I start I can get through it. The problem is starting.

Move phone from yourself. Move PC from yourself. Try doing something useful then reward yourself

There is no actual advice after all. You are college student. There is no parent that will come and shut down your PC. You decide what you are doing wtih your life.

That's strange. I did badly before college. Started procrastinating in college. Did extremely well. Maybe u hit your IQ peak. Git gud

I'm worried I'll start to procrastinate when I'm in college.

Can't I just analyze replays of smthn like chess competitions or cooking shows or read benao's replies to increase iq

                  Jacked

I download replays (lectures) and analyse them. But give yourself at least 3 days for an entire semesters worth of replays. Git gud scrup

I was never last minute until college. Literally skipped almost every class and only started studying the syllabus one month before the real CIE exams. If you want to play hard and mess around the whole year, you'll need to start grinding around the clock studying at least 2 or 3 weeks before your exams. And if your concentration is shit (like me) it helps to have intense 20/30min study sessions with a 5min break in between. Learn to speed read cos it will really save your ass. Its usually better to have covered everything and know all the fundamentals than to cram half the syllabus but know nothing about the other half. Notes are useful assuming you have the time to make them. Adrenaline helps too.

I actually thank god Dota came out only after I finished my graduate school. Dota is still going to be around after you finish your medical school but your chance to be in this great profession is not going to be there forever.
Once you finish medical school you can then relax and play however much Dota you want. (Actually this is a lie as finishing medical school is only the beginning but just don't think so far ahead)
And you can afford to buy actual bling bling in the game when you are earning real money while languishing in normal skill.
                                Think about it.

you procrastinate cuz you're not motivated. and you won't be motivated till you reach absolute rock bottom in your life. all your friends (or former friends) are buying houses and going to Bora Bora on vacation, and you're sitting in your room farming MMR that no one gives a shit about.

you're not realizing this now because life is probably still comfortable enough for you to just go with the motion. you're a student so I'm guessing you have someone supporting you.

find motivation before you reach rock bottom.

Well, med school isn't engineering. You can pass most courses in engineering by udnerstanding and studying like 2 days before exams like i did but med school is something else entirely. There you need to memorize shit and that takes time. It's not about understanding, in med school that's just a bonus. Most people that finish/enter med school are fucking retarded, dude, but you gotta spend time on it. Knowing a ton of stuff is key and I'd say you need to know protocols too and all that shit. Unless you're a researcher you won't need to use your head which is probably what you thought since med school is the hardest study (or one of the hardest) to qualify for. It's not, now you know, but you need to read tons and tons of shit that you need to know and remember!

Welp, surely someone else can give you some other tips

tldr: you cant procastrinate because what you need to pass is invest time (mainly)

                                        BenaoLifedancer

With that said, and if you're not burning to be a med and have the motivation to read then study something else. 1 year delay is acceptable for your naivety.
