Just looking for a few tips. Should I buy a ward for myself if a support doesn't give or set one up for me?
Yes
Should I keep a tp scroll before I get my boots of travel in case my teammates need help or should i focus on farming times?
Usually no since you get BoT pretty damn quick and you won't help that much without the power of fountain
BS rush fucking sucks, get agha
There's no such thing as too many buttons to push on tinker
Look at my profile, learn what u can. Im a tinker player as core hero and this is the third acc im upping to 5k. The hero is amazing.
Not everyone can find out the most efficient build on their own
I still get retards who rushes BM on spectre even though they have 30+ games on her
go null tangos botle travels sould ring link bloodstone dagon eblade/ shiva / hex / aghanim situational
Well, between guides and my knowledge of the game having 1000+ hours yes I do know what I'm doing, but there are always small details I may not know.
One last question as well.. why do people level up March of the machines so much early on instead of focusing on nuke damage?
Cuz u need to farm and 4-4-0 is pretty much pointless. 3 in q and 2 in w is almost enough in
most cases
The hero is currently my most played. Check my profile and browse though. You will even find a few where I went Hand of Midas (kek).
My skill build is generally 4-4 by level 8 ONLY if I know the enemy mid relies on physical attacks to last hit/ deny and if I want to kill him or bully him out of the lane.
If, say, my enemy mid is Invoker (quas-wex), getting in range for a laser usually means you're getting out of position, allowing him to Tornado and Coldsnap you at the very least, meaning you're most likely dead.
In such situations, I only get a value point of rockets, maybe two and just focus on maxing March. Laser will always take priority over Rockets.
One thing I would like to mention: don't spend your mana like a fEEder. Remember the magic numbers (if you're going to try to nuke someone down), but never hesitate to use Laser for last hits as well, since every single last hit means you're closer to the item that defines Tinker.
Lastly: fuck the meta. Some games I skip Aether Lens completely and go straight Blood Stone. People downright are stubborn and just go cookie-cutter, without understanding that whether or not you're snowballing, BS can be a great investment, since it gives Tinker 3 major things:
1) Raw HP and Mana which are great, since Tinker is usually squishy and doesn't really have that huge of a mana pool
2) Great health and especially mana regen which only gets better over time (remember, you usually win games at around 40 minutes as Tinker, so I'm sure you'll get the chance to get more charges, thus more mana regen. Neato)
3) SUDOKU! I mean, how cool is it that you can give your opponent the middle finger every single time you get caught, by denying yourself, because guess what: you can Rearm the shit out of the item.
There are arguments for and against Blood Stone, I am well aware, but much like most items - it's situational.
That said. Hope this helps.
I always build skill 12121314333
Items are null -> bottle -> travel -> soul ring -> blink -> aether -> scepter -> hex -> bloodstone -> shiva
Thanks for the help and exposing my obvious and foolish mistake of soul ring before bots. The skill build is also quite helpful suggestions. Thanks so much everyone.
i usually keep 1 tp at least. it usually just makes me get travels faster and can be used as escape/rotate to punish dive with spells
I ALWAYS GO SR BEFORE BOTS. the only time u skip SR is 1. u have some shit like meepo so ur whole jungle is empty or 2. u dropped ur brain and went a 4401 build
the best build is agh aether hex. sit at edge of fight and spam missile with blink to reposition. when they blow their initiation on a teammate u come from the side and laser then blink away and laser and blink away while spamming rocket. any time u cast a targeted spell they get vision of u so blink away fast and dont stand there channeling rearm like a goon
ur goal as tinker is to spend as much of the fight as possible in fog. a couple missiles and 2-3 aoe lasers usually is enough to win a fight. when u have hex focus on hexing people with bkbs befor ethey use bkb, or use it on a hero that has caught u to escape
i know people dont like using mmr as a metric but if someone is struggling in a low bracket they probably have no clue what they are saying!
u can check my games but as a general rule:
dagon = trading more spam or aoe for higher burst, can be used to fast pop linkens for hex
shiva = aoe flying vision and slow that disables blink. can be used during tp. buy this against hero like mk if u absoultely must. smart player will buy this against u also with hex or orchid to reveal you
bloodstone = soul ring upgrade. gives a ton of mana and respawn time, but little else. i think of it as a lvl 3 rearm enabler, or fast repsawn in the lategame which is really good. the suicide should be used every time you die ideally although a lot of the time you will be chain stunned if you die
bkb = u can manfight 1v5 in some games with aghs, aoe blind and hex enemies with bkb
sheep=enough mana for lvl 3 rearm while also countering bkb, which is why i think this item is god tier after aghs. if you fuck up it is also useful defensively, and you can solo kill a ton of heroes with this item (especially with shiva because they try to juke in trees always)
I go tango+null->bottle->boots->SR->BOTS->blink->dagon/sheep depending on lineup->bloodstone->ethereal
I use this build about 70% of games
For abilities I go 121212142 if I am dominating mid and 1323234322 if it is an even matchup
Work 90% of the time 100% of the time

This hero is super cancerous and I hate him and the fact he can 1v5 a team. He is such cancer I would like to learn him. I have practiced him a little and am able to consistently win matches in 2k solo queue, however, I dare not play him in my party queues which are 3.5k-4k avg. My problem is early game. crazy considering tinker is so dominant I know.
Just looking for a few tips. Should I buy a ward for myself if a support doesn't give or set one up for me?
Should I keep a tp scroll before I get my boots of travel in case my teammates need help or should i focus on farming times?
Should I follow the same set lineup everyone does for items? Bottle>soul ring>BOT>blink>aether>agh>bloodstone
Or is there situational where might want to rush bloodstone? I've seen late game where some tinkers will even get a Dagon, ethereal, or scythe of vyse isn't that like too many buttons to have to push?
If I missed anything here in my questions I'm open to any tips plz.
