Let's be honest, all of us in 1-4k are practicing each and every game no matter what hero we pick

I hope they all die, people practicing in rank matches. I just hope they rotttttttttttttttttt.

Just played First time ember spirit this Weekend in ranked. Had 21:5 stats 70k hero dmg.

Sure we need to practice with retarded bots then when we enter mmr you rage for us being unable to play with humans

idk, i read the whole thread yet havent seen a single argument against practicing heroes in solo ranked

Well that happens and also I sometimes practice heroes in ranked games hahaha.

uhm, the argument is easy.

lost players only play their confort picks in ranked. heros they know well.

so if you play a hero that you dont know well you're at a disadvantage.

no problem in casual, just a lost game. ranked -25

Sad life when u was struggle to up u mmr, but this shit much annoying u game and mmr, need a win not a practicing shit..

^^considering i'm not practicing new heroes in ranked consistently, and my mmr reflects my skill with my comfort heroes, so picking something unusual actually does put my team in a disadvantage; out of the 9 players, 5 benefit from it. for, uhm, "humanity", me practicing heroes in ranked makes a positive impact.

I am a 2k player.And I don't practice heroes in ranked match.I go to pub or either bots.

I have the feeling that practicing with bots is really useless,
you can play with them if you want to learn how to use your spell, but that's all.
I won't practice in ranked because I don't want to give free -25mmr to my team.
But practicing a new hero against real players while getting flamed by your team is the best way to improve...
And if you fail, worry not, you can still practice him in lowpriority!

Trying to make somthing productice out of another rage post...
How to add a new hero to your repertoire:
1- Pick the hero on demo mode... jerk around, understand the basics, kill axe a few times.
2- (especially when you're under 4k or on a role you're not used to) Look for a written guide. There will probably be a couple of hints you wouldn't find out by yourself).
3- Watch a pro replay on youtube. That's where you get the most information on how to pilot the hero
4- Jerk a bit more on demo or play a match in co-op bots match to get used to timings and skill orders... this part is REALLY important with button-mashing heroes like ember, invoker, meepo, visage and so on.
5- Play one or two open pub matches. Overdoing it is pointless once your mmr is 4k or above, as random pubs and higher mmr matches are very different.
6- Go for ranked... and don't give a fuck about raging scrubs.

how else are you suppose to GUD on heros that you don't normally play. FOr example sir you only have 3 games worth of time to play and assuming you play ranked I you have zero time to learn the newest OP hero in unranked. So therefore you go into ranked, and you play the new hero and just T warn your raging teammates that you're new to the hero and expect some bumps.

when they ask why your playing him, "limited time, no time for ranked, dun worry, I GITGUD fast"
