Lifesteal was never optimal on Slark pre-7.00, so I can easily say damage for engagements, pushing, and increased farming speed. As for the latter, I feel as those the attack speed synergizes well with essence shift (similar reasoning to echo Sabre purchases).

what do you think are the best talent choices?
damage or lifesteal? as or cdr?
after seeing some pros go damage i thought to try damage instead of the usual lifesteal, and turns out its way easier to snowball like that in the mid game.
