ye, that inflates ur APM to shit
having 300 apm for 60 minutes is pretty much impossible to have, esp so if u're talking about effective APM
@fw, fyi, most of my apm count come from (S), (A) and (M).
most people have auto right click enabled and they dont hit over 300.
I have anywhere between 170 and 240 usually, no auto right click, and I'm not at 6k at all, so guess it ain't matter that much.
[irony] 300 apm for 60 minutes is pretty much impossible?
You ever heard of StarCraft / StarCraft2? [/irony]
yeah i know you do :P
Flüchtlinge !¡!¡!
miracle-,747,yapzor and few others has average 400-500 apm
jerax has average 300 apm
most other pros 100-200.
300 apm != effective apm
sure i can get 500 apm if i hold right click all game / swap between control groups (or thats what u cna do in sc2), but that apm is completele useless
Back when people used to tell it keeps people a bit more aware and react faster to certain situations, but I don't think that matters much above a certain APM, or that it even stood true ever.
There a German Streamer pleb who Shows his 500 apm to Everyone who want to See it, and still gets rekt by 4k all Day long
Damn that german Streamer is not able to win 1v5 with 500 apm?
He cant win a TEAMgame alone?
Damn he is doing everything wrong.
He should be 500mmr ...
idk, i never had spazm
what do you need 300+ apm for
it's like you're bashing your keyboard with a rock
it doesn't matter at all. I have ~ 200 on avg and in some games I have mid 100 and in some where I play some heroes that require micro or has illusions can go all the way from mid 200 to 300 apm, but I have a lot of useless clicks x)
No. I used to spam unnecessary clicks until I realize they were sometimes causing errors. Often 1 click will do the same as many.
Well, spamming clicks can cause mistake, but generally having high APM is not a bad thing, unless it's unnecessarily high. like what you said, spamming.
well didnt believe at first but apparently miracle had 500 apm for this game
https://www.opendota.com/matches/3011433403/actions
but i think its because he mostly use normal cast
I thought I averaged 50 apm because I almost always play when exhausted. It turns out, I was playing much faster than most people. Around 300 when I am tired. Over 400 when I am feeling well. Averaging at 350 (http://www.opendota.com/players/79856244/trends/actions_per_min). Average is at 330 currently because I was intentionally feeding in low priority. On the far left the graph, the average is much higher because that was when I was making unnecessary clicks. Searching through the replays, most people play at around 150 apm.
no
i have a 7k friend who plays naga~meepo with 110 apm lol
its about efficient clicks
I have high apm but it's mainly because I have auto-attack on so when I last hit in the early phase I tend to spam s/h a lot more than average. It's not really reflective of skill as long as you have above 100 or so.
Yeah, I tried turning on the auto rightclick function, since it seems like it doesn't really have any bad side to it.
Instantly went from 180-220 APM to 350-400, even without spamming it at all, i just played the regular way, not even leaving the right click pushed usually.
Oh yeah, and it didn't make me a better player.

recently i have been checking my matches stats and realize im constantly hitting over 300 apm while most of the players are between 100-200.
do you think it matters in dota 2?
