tried offlane enigma a few days ago, got blink in 7 mins. Not sure if it was because enemy safe lane was retarded or that's just normal. This leads to another question: Mek or Blink first?

spamming is I think the best method to climb mmr coming from my own experience. Since spamming 2-3 heroes makes you play those heroes better. It's a lot easier playing your comfort heroes.
