idk im 4k with 2k games in life and have like 500 matches of 4 k games while there are alot players with 6k matches and are 4100
means they are not improving or are stupid or lazy

a fresh 4k can see things with his fresh eyes, is motivated to go even further and won't give up that easy.
a 4k veteran knows that the game is going to be ape shit and will give up early, he already spots the bad players on his team by checking your profile info like GPM but he is forgetting that he has 4000 games and is still 4k = he is shit himself

the more game u have at a given mmr the slower u are to improve

some people make climbing their life mission and some dont its not solely a matter of intelligence

4K fresh still haven't fill their cup they got alot of things to improve/forget and dropen mmr.in short notice so stable.
While 4+games and u stay here mean even you go away 1 month you will still come back the same mmr or just drop abit because U too used to what u do alot.But as you getting long time in same bracket if didn't try to change something the bracket will follow you for life.

Well potential for improvement aside. Is there a difference in the way a new 4k and veteran 4k will approach the game ? Assuming they are equally skilled

old 4k probably plays by habit and doesnt adapt as much--fixed mindset is why he is at one mmr for so long

new 4k is probably sloppier but more likely to use his brain

Most of 4k plays by default as a normal matchmaking, they don't try to improve and made the same mistakes . a few days ago I had a teammate with 6400 matches and still 4k (Trash as fuck) newest 4ks > old 4ks

ofcourse the more games you play the more experienced you will become but it depends on you whether you set and remember that experience. Dota 2 is a complex game the more you know the greater are your chances of winning.
fresh 4k or not it doesnt matter as long as you win mmr. its about winning, in order to win you need to cooperate which most people in all brackets fail to do. its a team game after all.

4k fresh is either:

-Calibrated and deserves 4k
-Abused calibration and got 4k undeserved
-Bought account
-A climber from lower rating

Climbers and deserved calibrated are the best guys usually.

Bought accs and abusers is the cancer of 4k.

4k veteran is either:

-A person, who legit tries to get up, but fails non-stop and rages
-A person, who doesn't care about his MMR and just plays for fun (e.g. it can be his party MMR or he just doesn't care)
-A bought account by another player

It is all mixed up.
In general, "4k vets" are at least more reliable in their skill level, while "4k fresh" may practically be anything, including a S&Y rush safelane Furion in your team.
