it's fucking retarded, the bear already has armor problems (only 6 armor at level 4 bear, -5 armor that's 1 armor, so the bear will start melting once actually attacked).

MoM sounds like value for 1900 gold, but you also gotta factor in a casual chainmail just to make up for the fact you're losing 5 armor on a freaking 6 armor unit.

Also the bear still deals shit damage to heroes, so lifesteal doesn't offset the -armor part, and you can't lifesteal off buildings which you deal good damage to because of Demolish.
