Get fast domi. Dominate a wolf and go hardcore pushing. You should get a midas at this point. Treads, Deso, AC as always. If you haven't won yet, as you approach level 25 you should have octarine incoming. Then abyssal or whatever fits the game.

then do the rat the same build low attack speed he stil got his passive right?
If you actually read the patch notes, you would know he gets regent instead of attack speed bonus from his passive.
Headress > PT > Dominator > Necronomicon > AC > Desolator
Heart, Abyssal, BKB for the last spot depending on your need.
Not a fan of Necronomicon on Lycan personally. Used to build it a lot, but now I think that with a proper build he can be both a manfight beast and a great pusher, while also not being countered by AoE abilities that much.
Also the warrior does slightly less damage against towers this patch.
But with the damage type changed, Necronomicon summonings are more team-fight oriented than before.
I know how you feel, I used to build Silver Edge when it included Sange on Lycan over Necrobook. But you have to admit that Necronomicon is easily the best item to get DPS on Lycan.
Octo was nerfed, it's basically only good for the reduced cooldown, at least on Lycan anyways. IMO not worth the purchase.
i may not be that great lycan but here is my 2 cent
i tried him in dota 2 test with PT - mom - armlet - medallion and he manfight like a beast late game ( silver edge/AC/skadi/heart/bkb/mkb/even daedalus if you went crazy snowball)
if you get his lower CD talent + wolf form lvl 25 talen he will transforn to wolf for 33 second and downtime 15 second so you can actually go crazy around the map finding an opening for rat or killing lone enemies
I like that you guys are sharing your builds, but my main question is that is my build still viable?
it is viable since nothing really change the fact that lycan is strong pusher + the lvl 25 4 wolves talent but i believe that going for manfight may work better atm

I like the "buffs" but then icefrog made him like any other strength carry: low on attack speed. Is the standard build still OK (Vlad's,necro3, to boots, bkb/AC, bkb/AC, deso/heart/some other item)?
If I go that build, will I have any problems? Can he still be a ratter at low levels? Can he? Seriously I just want to rat with him.
