well this is the perfect opportunity for EG to show what they're worth. if they can't beat VP they don't deserve to win the championship anyway.
Shame Liquid didn't qualify, without LULba they are probably strongest team EU and could totally rival VP.

It doesn't really matter, there's no lower bracket so all teams eventually have to face the best regardless. If it really matters that much to them they could throw group stage games I guess.
I mean TI we got first round matchups between navi and liquid, secret and lgd and that was single game elimination.

VALVE gonna guarantee EG not top spot in this event because even if they manage to win against wings they gonna face virtus pro. same condition for wings and virtus pro (relatively easy for vp unless igv brings an upset to this tournament). other parts of bracket would be interesting to watch too
