I'll gain 4000 mmr in my next 1000 ranked games if I keep my 58% winrate in General Discussion

I used this formula to calculate it.
25x1000x(58%-42%), maths gods plz tell me if this is correct or not.

Practiaclly not correct as your win percentage wont be constant as your mmr increases..you shall account the reduction of win %... and that is based on your skill....
so when u reach your true mmr your win % will be around 50%...

so thats it...Dont regard your win % a constant..

        ^ no.

because apparently none of you retards realize as you go up in mmr your winrate will fall.

the only way to maintain your winrate is if you learn dota quickly enough that you improve at least as fast as your mmr increases, and the ability to improve at dota also gets harder the higher you go.

I have a 69% winrate in the past 6 months (~400 matches). By your monkey logic I should be 16k mmr after 1000 matches.

edit: you changed your comment after i posted, congrats ur less retard now, but so many retards still think this way so my comment still applies i guess

ALSO: don't use your all-time average winrate. Use a recent winrate. In your case it's still ~58% but using an all-time average is also stupid as fuck.

yea but uafter u pass3k mmr the thing will go slow and its imposible to stay that winrate then u gona start losing hard and learnig alot and when u play 2k 3k game u will stomp

My current win rate is still increasing, so my rate of improving is higher than the rate of mmr gain, it will slow down once I get higher mmr, I didn't wanna account the rate of improving, that would be way too complicated.

im sure RTZ will have a 99% winrate if he played on a 1k mmr account.

therefore the excellent maths proposed by OP will mean that if RTZ plays on a 1k mmr account for 1000 matches he will be 26,000 mmr.

and your winrate is not increasing much, if you look at your past 3/6/12 months it is 60/59/58% so right now it's remaining the same, but it will go down drastically as you increase in MMR. 4k is completely different than 3k. 5k is an entirely different game of dota than 4k.

you're doing well so don't feel bad, you'll probably start stagnating around 4.5k-ish but thinking you can get 7k in 1000 matches is pure stupidity.

My recent win rate is around 60%-70% if I use that it would be stupidly high, plus most of them is party ranked.

When u go up your winrate decreases

                    it's not 70% it's 60%.

You need to take a decently sized sample size. If I sampled my last 1 match I have 100% winrate. lul?

How did you get 70%? Even your last week, and last month are nowhere near 70%.

                    Jacked

The math is correct. But never gonna happen lul

                      Nile

Yeah, there is no way I can get 7k in 1000 matches, it's just a theoretical calculation, assuming I'll keep my win rate, which is impossible, if rate of improvement is accounted.

There can I find my accurate recent winrate?

                            Do I need Dotabuff plus?

                              Rocket

Number of games x (Winrate-50)/2 is the easiest way to calculate it on the fly.

                                5pts per game at 60%, 10 at 70%, 15 at 80% etc.

Not that it really matters as winrate won't be consistent as you climb.

Then i must be the weird one cuz my winrate never really droped as I kept climbing, I remember it used to be 58% when i was 2k

67 percent win rate ranked in last month and 65 percent in last 6 months ranked.. this means I will be like 1million mmr by next year.
On a side note though.. well done on the skill increase.
