He's bad but no one really knows why. I think it's ultimately his range is just too shitty and he gets dumpstered on by all the melee cores right now.
^That's not true. He's the best hero in the game at clearing Undying Zombies.
But I think his main problem is that he doesn't do anything better than any other hero. He's not particularly bad at any one thing, he just doesn't really have any strengths.
Idk I think main issue is range, he has to get so close to do anything with rockets or auto attack once flak cannon is down and for a squishy agility hero that's bad. If you try to tank up on him with stuff like s&y, bkb, dominator, which was the standard build, he kind of lacks for dmg. And I think the mkb nerf hurt him (and medusa) a lot since they really want raw dmg for their aoe and don't care as much about crit or the proc of mkb.
gyro is trash at farming, super squishy, takes too long to be useful, is easy to disrupt, and NO LONGER CAN KILL PEOPLE AT LVL 1-2 OR EVEN 3 IS SHITTY

Really bad right click speed. Damage is alright. Farming is situational since you need a good support to stack ancients or go for helm. If you dont have any of that than he is a tradh farming hero. Q is good. W is meh. Ult is really good if you shoot it out right. He just doesnt sce feally well with items unless you use him CORRECTLY. (which most people don't know to.)
you obviously buy hotd and hes still way fuckign worse than sven, luna, dusa etc because flak cd is retardedly long and it takes like 4 rounds of flak to kill a stack
hes annoying, nyx assassin can't use carass spikes to make that 500 dmg missile for it to go away.
Gyro cant farm fast, isnt a strong laner, has an unreliable stun, and needs farm to be relevant. Ive considered an aghs maelstrom build cuz it helps a lot to farm faster. Then go bkb > mjollnir/mkb/crits > if u didnt get mjollnir u can sell maelstrom for satanic/skadi > butterfly
Ive been considering a mid gyro build with maelstrom aghs bkb mjollnir eblade. Maybe a shadow blade in there. Crits or bloodthorn too.
How does he not farm fast? He can spam rockets on creeps, clears jungle really fast. He's not as fast as sven or luna but I think he's better than PA or medusa early since PA needs battlefury and medusa's dmg is low early. A lot faster farmer than like sniper or drow early.
Mid gyro maxing missile is kind of fun cus no one knows how to deal with it. It works ok or it did a few months ago.
pa can jungle so much faster than gyro its actually astonishing, plus you cant really pull all 3 radiant camps together for flak i think
Gyros mana isnt good enough to spam barrage and the magic res creeps make it hard. And flak cannon cooldown is 69 years. Pa has so much more dmg that she clears the creeps faster, and given jungle vision she can use blink to jump from camp faster. At the very least a pa can farm heroes or help out a team and is a more flexible pick than gyro. Gyro needs farm unlike pa and cant farm fast to get it while pa can.
