unless you are not planning to paly ranked at all due to anxiety or w/e

It makes no sense to not wait because you can play unranked all the time enter TI6 become champion and THEN you can now calibrate to become 10k trust me

If you're a new player who just hit level 50 & want to calibrate...I'd advise against it. I calibrated at 1.xxK MMR as soon as I hit 50 & I did that assuming I know DotA...but that wasn't the case since I didn't know what a lot of other heroes actually did in the game. I calibrated way too soon is what I'm trying to say.

Calibrate when you have played almost all heroes & are aware of their skills etc...you'll end up with a very high MMR as opposed to calibrating right at level 50.

Mushi (Obviously the pro) is 100% right. Wait to calibrate till after you win TI6 so you get all the MMR. 10k seems a little low. When I calibrated after winning TI5 I was around ~15k. ez mmr
