@4head
16? That is the youngest -- oh wait....
The youngest person I have ever heard on Dota was this girl from the UK that came from League. And a friend at the time (we don't really play together anymore and he deleted me a long time ago) were playing with her, and she was preforming okay (in unranked), but she kept saying she "I love you" "you're hot" "kiss me baby" to both of us constantly... she was 13. It was extremely awkward, and needless to say we deleted her and never played with her again.
*shudders*
Aside from that weird League girl (she literally came from League and was new to Dota at the time)
You're the youngest person I have come across that I do not mind remembering.
I know young boys like RageZeus who is 16 and old fucks like Yoshi who is 31 or some shit. Most of thr players are probably around 20 tho.
@LET'S GO CHAMP! Yeah, I think majority of players are in their 20's. The minority would be Teens, and 30+. I believe kids not playing this game is a reason it is so great and successful.
Think about it, League has more active players than Dota, however Dota has a far bigger net-worth, more than likely because of the majority of the community being in their 20-something's, worldwide. And League has about 70% underage players I would say.
@POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE Really? Cool, man. You'll grow into a fine young man in the future I am certain. Just don't trust the government, and don't be pushed around by girls and you'll do a ton.
Most younger kids seem to prefer games that are more immediately rewarding. It takes a long time before you feel like you're doing anything right in Dota which probably drives away lots of younger people (and some of the older ones too)
I'm 22 and most of my Dota playing friends are around the same age.
@[A~E] TheMaverick427 Makes sense actually
@Sanrio zzz That's nice to know lol
@Waifuranger Please don't say that, you and like 80% of 15 year olds think and say that. Just chill, and be you, fam.
@HotSalza Sweet! Happy almost-16
@Leelaw Very true
I don't give a warm shit on how long ago people were born, that doesn't mean a thing. Dota community is full to the brim with cocky children that need (or more likely LACKED) atention, worst thing being that some of those were children very long ago
probably 16-17, pathetic, <21 shouldn't be allowed to play games in general or at least most of them are way too annoying, don't have any experience in life and that's why you are seeing words like "die", "mother" and "cancer" in most of their sentences.
then ill need another five years to eneter a game that no one besides me will be playing, and ill just start a lobby with bots and spam "DIE MOTHER CANCER" in all chat
18 o.o 100% legal to buy shit now. Yey!
*buys bull shit on eBay for 5.99$*
Oh btw lets not forget i'm more mature than 98% of people my age.
^Dem jokes.
Nah, I think the average age would be 17-18. The youngest person I knew that played DOTA 2 was a 9-year old kid - and yes, he sucks. I know a lot of people who are around 12-17 years old that play DOTA 2. I also see a lot of college students play DOTA 2. I barely see people aged 25 years old and above play DOTA 2. The oldest person I know that plays DOTA 2 is around 43-48 years old. And for the record, I'm a 15-year old boy.
I started at 13, am 16 now. The youngest player I knew was 11 years old, the oldest was retired (in his 60's).
19, but mostly i played with undereducated players whos only talk with his own btchymothers leanguages.
Hear in SEA especially in the philippines it is common to see 6 year olds. Ave. Age here is i guess 15 yrs old. Im 19 btw turning 20
I would think average age is 19 or 20 . I am 27 in a week . Either that or mostly just people over 18 talk in the mic ? I think in less developed countries the average age seems lower . I think for North America seems around 20 .

I would say it is currently people in their 20's the dominant the dota scene.
And in 5 - 10 years majority of players will be in their 30's.
15 - 20 years should be back to 20, and I feel, that in the future it will fluctuate between 20's - 30's but we don't know how we'll be when we're ancient.
I am currently 23. And all of my rl friends that play dota are in their mid-late 20's.
What do you think?
