Really? Valve announced 3 majors plus TI, four seasonal tournaments that were supposed to be fall, winter, spring with TI in the summer. Pretty sure manila is a valve tourney.

I like the idea they're going with here, they're almost establishing a regular season, not like football or baseball where teams play each other in a league, but more like tennis or golf with rankings and tournaments. In theory open qualifiers take a week, then regionals take a week with a week in between, then you have a couple weeks off before group stage, that takes a week, then the main event takes a week. That's about 7 weeks of play. So you have dota action pretty consistently year round, only maybe 5 weeks between starts of qualifiers. But it seems like the timing is messed up this year.
Actually I'm dumb valve announced the timings right here:

Manila in June, TI in mid august. Guess the gap will just be a lot smaller. Doesn't seem like enough time to have open qualifiers and stuff.

Ti was end of July and ran into first week of August last year. Frankfurt was almost 4 months after cus it was end of November. Shanghai was three months and some change after that. So how is valve going to fit four tourneys in if they aren't three months apart? If we use same timing then Manila will be like last week of June. Which then would push TI to what like last week of September at earliest?
