You can snuck it into your build by disassembling it into bkb/sny and butterfly later but dunno if it's worth it.
late game it's a waste of a slot and early game most people would probably choose dominator or drum instead. assuming you already have those and you still are considering lance, i guess it could work if you wanted to sny but for whatever reason felt that lance was better than a yasha or a sange.
i dont really see it though, you're already fast to begin with and build speed items, gyro doesn't have much problem getting into attack range.
not building aquila is dumb. even if you are planning on going lance you'd still be better off with aquila for the first 15-20 mins of the game than without it.
For some reason I have a lot of issues fighting with him early even though he should be a great early fighter so I thought extra range would help, but now that I think about it, you'd be attacking from out of rocket range so it's a stupid idea. Forget I mentioned it lol.
I guess I need to know then how to survive and take fights on gyro. I typically just farm really fast and hope to wipe entire teams mid to late game with more items then them. Usually if I fight before bkb I get blown up way too fast.
I don't really see the point. You're going to get it before or after hotd? I think it just delays other items for the novelty of being able disassemble into bkb and bfly.
I mean like, in fights you are anyway flak cannoing and im prett sure it doesnt change the range on secondary targets
why do u need dragon lance? u have good ms and need to be close to heros to rocket them. mb in later stages of the game but then its a waste of slots and just weak. but im sure icefrog will soon find some upgraded items based on it soon - mb then.

I have never built this on him, but would it be good? Seems main issue is slots, gyro farms fast and has some cheap core items. I usually have phase, aquila, dominator by like 12-14 mins, then s&y or manta around 20-22, bkb is next, that leaves no slots if you have a tp, which is fine, I then sell aquila for a dmg item. But if you go lance you'd be selling aquila for bkb which seems a little early to lose the armor, mana regen and stats. Or just not build aquila, but it seems pretty core.
