just start with a new account. it takes a week or two to achieve the trophy level that allows you to play ranked.
Also check Blitz's guides for Storm, they are really good, but kind of old though. Anyway, they're mostly not about the hero itself, but about pro mentality like map or hero presence awareness.
find another mid hero to dominate with. ss got nerfed to hell.
right now DP is stronger than just about anyone (if played well). also, OD, and voker are some dope.
spam some other mids and you will do fine.
the nice thing about DP is you can encourage your team to fight just by spamming Exorcism Ready, Lvl x
SS and SF aren't the best 1 v 5 heroes. Personally 1 of my favorite mids is Ember Spirit, I domin8 every game. BoTs - Battle Fury - Daedelus - Situational.
If it gets l8 you just buy rapiers. Srsly, if you play ES well, he's savage.
Kill the god damn throne. Try to get any objective if possible. I mean in that storm game u had 21 kills and only like 300 tower dmg and all ur team below 1k tower dmg. You weren't even supposed to win that game. Main objective in Dota is that God damn throne.
In mid learn od and invoked or as a TA u can snowball hard and easily kill buildings
Shadow Fiend is excelent hero for getting out of 2k mmr. I would be able to get out of 2k with Shadow Fiend in matter of days.
Can't say anything for Storm tho. Not a storm player ,and he got nerfed so hard.
@ op, you are having 55% winrate, you'll get out of 2k slowly, just keep playing man. But don't expect you're 4k if you can't get out of 2k.
You may be above your skill but not by fucking 1000 points.
Maybe you shouldnt think about 1v5 and flame your team 24/7 and then youll improve. And you are 2k shit level not anything more. Your 5 last hit per min in 50 min games, on spectre and storm shows it.
It goes without sayin that storm aint the best hero nowdays so im not gonna bother with sayin dont play him or anything like it, since u like him u might try to change smth in ur playstyle.
The first thing that i saw was that ur item choice is not ideal, for example in this game http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2103274135 u have no linkens sphere against a dagger legion commander, which means that she can jump on u the moment she gets the range and vision. And u have a tendecny of following a pattern, orchid bloodstone bkb scythe shivas. U might need to mix things up sometimes.
Smth else that i think is rly important is denyin in the laning stage, in ur last 4-5 games with storm even on those that u have won, u almost never deny with mb 1-2 denies ocasionaly. U have to understand that denyin sometimes is better than lasthitting inorder to keep the wave close to ur tower and to have the hg advantage and ofc to keep the opposing mid from gold and most importantly the exp. Gettin to lvl6 faster and preventing the opponent from reaching 6 before u is sometimes all u need to win the matchup.
But what i think is the most cruical advice is to not go rambo, if u have a streak of 5-6kills and u end up dyin coz of overextension things might get ugly rly fast. And since storm aint any good at pushing u might need to prepare for long games even when u rape early/midgame and in the endgame the most important thing is decision making/positioining/buyback gold. U say that those on ur rating suck compared to u, so let the plebs go first dont initiate, when the teamfight has started dont jump in the middle of it try to snipe those that r out of position, thats ur greatest strength. As long as ppl r divided on the map u can easily pick them off, so most of the problems i belive come from 5man balling, so just be carefull its not worth to die for 2 supports as a storm spirit or even for a tower.
Anyway this was pretty long, i could write more coz im almost on the same boat as u r, i cant play qop even tho she is my fav hero exactly for the same reasons, so im forced to defile myself with invokers and outhose decorator picks.

I agree. Meepo is the n1 1v5 hero to play. And people dont know how to play against you. They just assume that u cant play meepo well and leave u free farming. Meepo punishes bad positioning which in 2k is common.
Another very good 1v5 is TA and Tinker.

Ok so i am a 2k mmr player. I mostly play mid because i like to control the game with storm or shadow feind. I am far above the skill level of any of the people i play with or against, not trying to sound like a douche but it is the truth. But every fucking game i will be raping kids with storm all game and still lose. Please tell me how to 1v5 carry my team. And dont say fucking support because that shit does not work at this mmr . Check my dota buff and tell me what i need to improve in and help me tell me how to 1v5 better.
