If you can get to 6k MMR then you have the talent to be a pro player. But you may still lack the emotional and interelational skills to be on a team. There are plenty of talented people. Pro's will want to play with someone they can work with, someone they like or can at least tolerate being around all day everyday.

It's the same interviewing for any job. That is why all the good jobs go to the people who are known and liked by those who make the decision.
