Give it time. Now that the real matches have begun, you will see a lot more variety as teams try every strategy they know to win.

Well it's kind of different - the drafter has to decide whether to use all the op heroes in one match or save some up for later. Who hero do you counter with? Do you use axe against the brood pick or keep him for dazzle the next match? Etc.

I'm already getting a bit bored of the gyro/tusk/qop et al permutations....
Would tournaments be improved if teams could only pick a hero once per series? (Once per team)
I think it'd make drafting more skilful and reward more versatile players.
Might need some wildcard choices for longer bo5/bo7 or it could degenerate to all random but otherwise I think it'd make for better entertainment and a deeper game that rewards overall skill and knowledge more than at the moment.
