The typical VG/China team weakness. No adaptability when outdrafted. Match 2 (EG vs. VG) was so painful to watch as a VG fan. iceiceice was near useless the whole match.
I should be more clear:
1) Have more backups in mind. If your opponents try to surprise outdraft you (Enchantress = Pick 3 for EG in Match 2), you should counter with a surprise of your own. Continuing with your own plan (Dragon Knight) despite their counter is not a good idea.
2) If you are outdrafted, you must either outplay your opponent (not likely vs. EG) or outwit them with an unconventional build. Again, continuing with your own plan is not a good idea. (I guess VG was hoping to extend that game beyond 40 minutes and use their hard carries to overwhelm EG, but bounty hunter and tusk being stopped early made that impossible.)
Hopefully, VG is only baiting out potential responses for the later rounds and saving strategies for later, but this kind of mentality is worrying. It's what lost them TI4.
