Hes still good imo, its just that hes squishier and less forgiving than before. You have to get bkb as second item now or third if you are doing very well. Go tread>mom>mael then think of what you need, bkb, crit, mjol, mkb etc. with bkb i was able to stunlock sf ez after i chrono killed jugg. Hes not that bad, you just have to play with finesse unlike 6.83 troll/jugg. Pick your fights.
diffusal manta MoM might be good against wk so that his ulti dznt pop? wk is always a pain for void
Or you simply go out of the maelstrom useless shit build ?
You can also consider going stats instead of backtrack. You'll be more offensive, will have more mana, and will not lack that much survivability, since you have no survivability anyway (apart from the random luck on backtrack ofc)
Crystalis + mask of madness is enough to get solo kills on all by the beefiest heroes by the time you build it, around level 9 and minute 14 or whatever. Then you can go point booster to fix mana, get bkb, finish daedulus, finish aghs. I think the build is still pretty standard daedulus + mom + bkb core, only now you can throw in an aghs if you are having severe mana problems. Just get used to never using time walk except to initiate a chrono and you'll be fine.

seeing as faceless void has almost entirely fallen out of the pro scene due to the nerfs he received, I was wondering if the old manta/Diffusal build would be enough to bring him back to a certain extent, at least in terms of mana troubles.
As void has below average stat growth for a carry, manta/Diffusal makes sense in that it gives him more agility, which directly gives him more damage AND attack speed, as opposed to just one or the other. In addition, level 2 Diffusal blade and manta style gives him an extra 20 int, or 260 max mana. That's almost an entire extra level 3 chromosphere worth of mana, or about 3 more timewalks available simply through your item build.
Obviously normal skill games aren't a good indicator of the success of a build but I was wondering what others think about building void this way?
