The coins you can buy items or sets of items. 100g for an item, 1000 for a set.
When you purchase the conpendium right now you get two immortals plus some emotes and cursor packs and some loading screens, maybe a UI, I can't remember. That's all stuff that's been unlocked by the stretch goals. So for $10 two immortals isn't that bad, though they'll probably be like a dollar after TI and they unlock for sale.
As far as I can tell leveling it only nabs you better coin rates when you play matches. I think you might unlock some items at super high levels but fuck it I'm still level 1. It's insanely hard to unlock levels. I've done a couple heroes in my 10 hero challenge but you don't get anything til you do them all, and the match challenges just net you coins? Not sure cus I did two and still level 1.

What are the benefit of Compendium? Ive got 17 compendium coin now..but i dont have compendium.. should i buy compendium? and which lvl is it?
