Why are pros skipping edict when playing Lesh? in General Discussion

Watched a few qualifiers for TI5 and noticed they skip edict. I thought it was just 2 people then another one did it. I know it doesn't do 1000+ damage like the old one on buildings. At max it does 50.4 every .25 seconds for a total of around 800 damage only. But yea I noticed they are doing 2-0-4-1 build. Some whom don't balloon up end up like RAVE's Chrissy just mediocre and wasted mid lane etc.. If you skill 1-4-4-0 build you will do more damage and your ganks are more effective. Let me know what you guys think.

the best skill on lesh is the lightning slow

and if you wanna make sure to rape someone immediately the best choice is to max stnu right after
so that might be the reason as to why

Stun AoE is too small at level 1 and if Dota has one rule it's burst > DPS.

If they max stun? why are most of them going only 2 levels in stun going back to get edict and ulty?

Most of them actually go 4-0-4-0 I believe. Some may get Edict earlier if they want to push earlier.

edict is much more suited to solo queuing and pubbing in general - as you can catch out lone heroes/towers often, but this won't happen in pro games
the general reasoning behind 'lightning is a bad spell', is that it is indeed underwhelming after maxing stun edict, and building the items for that playstyle
but it is actually strong when maxed - and a much safer option - especially for pos 4-5 lesh which won't be able to frontline
