            you should be able to get at least 60% win rate with lich and tide up till 4k.

            4k to 4.5k depends on hero picks.

            I cant advise you beyond 4.5k as that was my max.

            if you are good with a certain hero, you should be able to reach at least 4k with it. Do not lose faith in your pet heroes regardless of the circumstances.

              I had some questions.

              1. I started a smurf choosing the "I've played dota 2 before" option and yet the first match started in normal skill. Why? I've seen new accounts start at VHS

              2. I've played 4 matches on it, lost 2 because we had leavers in the game. Sadly all 4 were on normal skill. Does this mean that the account will stay at normal skill? How many matches are needed to be stomped to get to a higher skill?

              3. Does KDA, last hits per min, total hero damage, XPM, etc count (I only play core roles like mid and carry)

                1. Steam watches you, it literally tracks your accounts and knows you are normal skill on your main :) However, this system sometimes does mistakes.

                2. No, but you have to apply effort to get to a higher bracket. The amount of matches you need to get out of normal skill depends on how well you perform in them. 2 or 3 games with KD 30-0 and high HD will be enough for sure, I think.

                3. Yes, at this point it does count.

                However I'd say this smurf has sort of a fail beginning cause you have 50% winrate (even tho the reasons are leavers), and in the games you won, your stats are far from perfect despite the fact that you played cores.

                  1. No Account will ever Start on VHS
                  2&3 win doesnt matter the highest influence on Skill bracket at normal game is hero Dmg so all u have to do is picking Zeus

                  November.Rain

                    @triplesteal with regards to point 1, I made a whole new google account for the new steam account man :/ how the hell can steam know. IP tracking? or some shit like that?

                      Thats not true, you can ask people on this forum who smurf. Starting at VHS is rather common.
                      Zeus was fixed cz now the damage you deal with your ulty doesnt count unless you are in a very short area around your targets.

                      Yes, apparently they track IP, but no one is absolutely sure cz they do not announce it officially. Just the legends of dota community, u know :)

                        @November.Rain, steam uses your webcam data to determine whether it is the same user when you create an account from identical ip, I ended up in a different skill level when I made a new Steam account wearing a clown mask.

                          If that would be True i would Start in very low Skill bracket cuz i Kinda look like Ryan gossling

                                  I've had 5k smurfs in the past, 3 if I remember correctly, and some pieces of advice I can give you are as follows:

                                  1. Play well (or stomp all your pre-cal games if you can)
                                  2. Maintain like a >60% winrate between matches
                                  3. Have good hero statistics (Hero Dmg, KDA, GPM, XPM, etc.)

                                  VLTine

                                    Just play the best hero of you.
                                    You can't control the teammate performance.but you can do the best performance on the best hero of you.
                                    I'm a new player moved from HoN and I play my best hero. You can see my profile.

                                      wat happens if we stack-party the the smurf in its starting days with a real high skill account?

                                      VLTine

                                        I think if you play in normal, high or very high skill bracket with the same performance.
                                        Your hidden mmr in very high skill bracket game is gain more than normal and high skill bracket.
                                        If you start playing with high skill party and you did a good performance in the game.Your hidden mmr is gain faster.

                                          @November.Rain
                                          It ownt ahev any influence on your hidden solo mmr and calibration in solo; it matters only for party rank; I dont think you need it though.

                                            @TripleSteal-
                                            About your point earlier about valve watching you and IP tracking, does it mean that smurfing on public computers is a bad idea? My Steam Guard has records of 20+ different machines. I had a friend who is smurfing and also is renting pub computers got good stats on his first 10 games, however he seemed to not get out of normal skill bracket after 20+ games. The computer he was using had been played by players with MMR as low as 1.1k, at a really high frequency.

                                            TripleSteal-

                                              ^I dont know, tbh. Theorically what you said should be right, but I cant provide any evidence to support my opinion here.
