Game is based on average mmr of all 10 players, 0-3200 normal 3200-3700 high above 3700 very high.
If a player is stacking is possible for them to have matches in a different skill bracket.
judging bu his ranked win rate from dotamax http://dotamax.com/player/detail/151578828/ he should be over 3.2k, with the unranked going between high and vh, that would be around 3.6-3.8k

You could also watch a few of his Vh games and see how he peforms.
I checked his Normal Skill Ranked games and he definitely isn't stacking, so he should be lower than 3k MMR.

Judging anything from Winrate is stupid and doesn't work.
He has one NADota Elite League game so he can't be that bad. Probably a good player playing on a dummy account.
Here's how it happens with different queues. I was the reverse.
In the past while stacking I was primarily in HS (2 years ago) then when I went solo ranked for the first time I was in VHS. He is the opposite. His unranked rating (hidden) is higher than his calibrated rating (about 3200/3400) so that's why he is getting into all the skill brackets at once.
Unranked he sits from 3500/3800 and his ranked is probably 3200/3400 IMO.
Also the NADota game was one he shouldn't have been in but it was an Open game marked as the "PRO" division for lawls.

I am having an argument that just because his ranked games are all normal. When the player q's unranked they are all VHS. I suggested that he probably just doesn't play solo ranked anymore so he hasn't leveled out his mmr. I suppose I mean to ask what do you think his true mmr is. Clearly his solo ranked hasn't caught up.
