^its some sort of weird maths scale they use, i think it has something to do with how the change was relative to what you're currently at?

Dotabuff plus has a trends section which has recently been updated. Along with this about a month back the rating buddy started which allowed people to (privately) track their MMR in much the same way that some coaches manually key in their numbers into an excel spreadsheet this will track and help you find out which are your big bread winners in MMR.
Example of the new trends graph which allows you to see heroes (not the same as the rating buddy) and matches that attributed to your losses. Also added are XPM, GPM, and Lasthits/Denies per 10 minutes.
