Depends on the size of your screen and your hand control and reflexes, these stupid 10K DPI mice are for morons who think DPI=Better
I play on a 24" monitor at about 1200DPI settings very comfortably, I will some times adjust it to hire or lower for certain heroes.
Generally, faster is better. But obviously if its too fast then you're going to overshoot and missclick. Basically just pick whatever you are comfortable with. Personally I prefer low sensitivity. Its set up so that I can go left-right-top-bottom of screen within the limits of my claw grip without moving forearm.
IIRC mine is at 1500, but I don't remember.
It has also been said disabling Mouse Acceleration helps, but I've been using it since forever, so I'm used to it and use it anyway.
edit:800 and "level 3/10" for mouse acceleration on a razor mouse.
...1200 too fast?
..what???
I run 2700 on average. I have a clutch bound to 2 different keys one for 3500 another for 1800. For point accuracy and speed but that's mostly for broodwar.
y'all stupid
"DPI is an expression from the printing world and has nothing to do with mouse movement. DPI is meant to describe that for one inch of distance you move your mouse on any surface, the equivalent number of counts are sent to the PC - resulting in movement on your screen. CPI is the correct term for this as it actually is consistent with what you seek to describe with the abbreviation."
A Rat model lol. That's what wink used (FPS mouse, non-moba mouse, that's what weights are for, hurr).
I think he died.
omfg that fucking mouse, i went to dreamhack bucharest this year and there was a 1v1 tournament or whatever there and we had to use their gear, we couldnt bring ours, and i had to play with that shitty mouse how does anyone even play with that shit
It's a FPS mouse weighted heavily on one side, you play on high sensitivity and swing left quicky, and drag back right slower for accuracy, hence where the term "360 noscope" came from. It was actually faster to 360 then drag that far right. Ha.
I might pick up one of these, just because I think the button placement is unique as fuck. I have no idea how amazing or awful it would be, so I want to try it. RGB led's are a plus too. *Rolls eyes*
I do use it xD It fits my hand perfectly. Perfect weight, etc. I had a lot of mice but this one is the only one i really fell in love with
I actually run my mouse at 4k, so i never have to pick up mouse and reroll. I think 4k is perfect for dota fo such big map. never have to click on map to look somewhere just move mouse, and its just takes time to get used to but then all fine.
Just checked, I have 1000 dpi mouse too.
Also, I don't understand how is it possible to use mouse for scrolling.

How much mouse DPI do you use when you are playing Dota 2
