I go powertreads>drums>ac then bkb i feel like once you get bkb, you don't do enough damage and i think the ac item components allow you to snowball a bit harder if you are having a good game.
Don't play DK much but I think his role would be to front line and force objectives and create space during the early-mid. Given that I think Treads-Drums-SnY?-AC. Something along those lines, halberd seems nice as well.
I was wondering if hood is viable on him if you want to build him to front line and soak some damage (provided your team can follow up and have damage of their own).
Attack speed is the way to go with him, get mjollnirs or ac, you will probably need a bkb. Everything else is optional. Heart, halberd, daedulus, satanic, drums all good items.
get 11 and take towers. The build is pretty standard as others have said, treads, drums, BKB. I would finish that off with some of the more generic DPS/bulk/utility sort of items, AC is top of the list, HH can be handy and HoT makes you really difficult to deal with. If your opponents are quite tanky you may need to go for more DPS oriented items in the form of buriza/mkb
