If you don't know what to do, find something. Excersise, reading, something. Every game I ever played, where there was some kind of ladder system, what seperated the best from the very best was the ability to call it a day after a loss instead of grinding more losses out.

Idk why people keep bashing butterfly on phantom assassin. Already having evasion and evasion stacking diminishing doesn't mean butterfly is a terrible item on her - she dodges 67.5% of all physical attacks or something like that. It 's an extra 17.5%+2.5%=20% EHP vs physical attacks - about 350EHP vs physical attacks at level 25. I assume the implied argument is the enemy carry will always get an MKB vs PA so buying an evasion item is pointless on her - this isn't true for several reasons. A butterfly still provides 60IAS, 60 dmg and 4 armour (great stats). Rushing a butterfly before the enemy carry gets a MKB might allow a team to get an unsurmountable advantage. Even if the enemy carry gets a MKB, there are 4 other enemy heroes that cannot touch you. The same counterargument applies to cleave - the exception is Tiny however evasion works better vs slow IAS heroes in a 1v1 confrontation.
Imagine on occasion where you're getting a butterfly on void or weaver. If instead you had PA, getting that butterfly is no less relevant - you're just losing out on 17.5% evasion (or 35% vs the hero with MKB). The arguments people are using here are ridiculous - it's just like arguing why buy a shadow blade on slark - he already has invis, enemy will DEFINATELY buy sentries dust and gem so invis is useless.

They have two blade mails, skywrath, luna, tide, kunkka, necro. unless you catch their ENITRE team in chrono someone is going to be outside and blow you the fuck up. You act like 20/9/9 is a really great score, it's not, it's kda = 3.2, very average. flip the assists and kills around, would someone brag about a 9/9/20 game? Not really. Luna had more farm than you, you did under 2k tower dmg. There are many reasons you lost this game that have nothing to do with your teammates.
Against a team like that bkb should be your 2nd or 3rd item. You'd want to go boots, mask, maybe maelstrom, BKB! Then finish mjollnir and get mkb/daed as needed.

max blur = 50% evasion, EHP = 0.5^-1 = 2
max blur + butterfly = 67.5% evasion, EHP = 0.325^-1 = 3.07
3.07 / 2 = 1.53 more EHP than previously
the problem being the more you put into evasion the more gold you waste when it gets countered. unlike an AC.
fyi slark's ultimate prevents him being seen, even with true sight, so your argument is pointless.
