A tinker with a manta could have 40 illusions (80 with refresher), he should replace naga for more damage.
doesn't refeshing manta remove previous illusions?
edit - using refresher or re-arm removes previously created illusions

Infinite manta was possible long ago back in the dota 1 days, but it was also patched long before dota 2 cane out. so mehhh

thinking about this a bit recently, (i clearly have too much time on my hands)
asssuming earthshaker has aghanim's sceptre, allowing for 2x echos per hero, and against the lineup with the potential for most echos created, also assuming every hero has manta style and necrobook for the maximum number of units generated (assuming all units fit into the 575 radius of echo slam for simplicity's sake):
Phantom lancer - 13 heroes (1 illusion from Q, 2 from W, 9 from ulti passive and the main hero himself)
meepo - 5 heroes (4 clones + meepo prime)
naga siren - 4 heroes (3 illusions +main hero)
nature's prophet - 1 hero, 10 treants
broodmother - 1 hero + 24 spiderlings (assuming that spiderlings are created on every cooldown of the ability, which create 4 spiderlings every 10 seconds, which last for 60 seconds) + 44 spiderites (assuming the spiderlings have an adequate supply of 1hp creeps, the 1.35 BAT of the spiderlings allow for 44 spiderites to be created at most with a 60 second duration)
in total we have: 24 heroes (as stated above) + 10 total illusions from manta style = 34 heroes
total units = 78 as stated above + 10 for 5 necrobooks + 8 from the largest natural sized creepwave (which occurs at 50:30) = 96 non-hero units
270 base damage + (34*70*2) + 96*70 gives a grand total (before reductions) of...
