i guess you could abuse this for maximum blink range, not like that shit should be penalized anyway but w/e. would be really useful if anyone knows how to do this.
Not sure what you're asking. pretty sure you can 180 noscope breathe fire if you just click directly behind you, the same to be said for clicking right infront of you when you want to "Breathe fire up a cliff without walking up a cliff"
what he is asking is... if there is a way to cast a spell in a general direction even if your cursor is beyond the cast range of the spell without your hero moving to reach the spell cast range.
for example, he wants to breath fire to his north at his exact location by clicking at the top without considering the cast range of the spell.
so is there a way to do it?
as far as i know, there is no way unless you experiment with the stop and halt commands while using the spell. i am not sure about this though.
I get what he is asking for. Only some spells have it, like blink. Even though the target is out of range it will still be cast. But for others you just have to deal with it.
Afaik pretty much all AoE spells cause you to move when distance between hero and target exceeds spell range
I use quick cast for meepo and some other heroes, it's great. I prefer normal cast for most other heroes though.
and yeah, sam/67% know what I mean, but it seems there is no solution unless someone knows an obscure solution.

is it possible to directionally cast a spell without the hero moving within range first?
i hate when im trying to get a dragon knight breathe fire from the cliff and he decides to run around the cliff instead of shoot fire. clearly i just suck at dk but im still curious.
