Why Timber is a counter to tanky heroes ? in General Discussion

I read somewhere that he counters tanky heroes. Can someone tell me why ? I see his Q takes 15% of main attribute (is it your highest attribute or just main attribute gain ?), but it lasts only 7sec with 8sec cd, so I don't know if it's such a hard counter.

It's a counter to STR heroes. -15% STR

        Main attribute.

Str heroes are generally tanky, and the reduction might well be like 300 extra damage on a centaur late game.

I read someone flamed Spectre for purchasing HoT against Timber & she is not STR hero, so how does it work ?

Even if it's 300-400 dmg, is it really that much against 3-4k hp centaur ? He still has a lot of hp…

It removes 15% of your primary attribute (Main attribute, not your highest..)

It works really well on tanky "Str" heros.. (Such as Bristle/cent) since they not only take the spells damage (In pure dmg if you cut a tree with it) but it also removed 15% of the STR heros "Str" which translates to a fair bit of damage, which wont heal back when their attribute is restored.

I just don't see numbers as big as for example Nyx's mana burn vs INT heroes or Lifestealer vs big hp heroes. Is it really a big deal & big counter as those 2?

Totentanz to The King: M ...

It's also because he works with pure damage and almost all tanky heroes tend to buy some sort of magic resistance ( Pudge, Centaur, Bristle)

i think timber is one of the heroes that fit in every game... his insane if u know how to play... all skills are pure dmg! a lot of escape mechanics + init + dem jukes
