I care more about counter picking, but I make sure to pick some one who fits into my team (A mid if we have no mid, a support if we only have 1 support.). Team fight doesn't always matter if the other team has a rat hero or two you may never 5v5 them all game. If there team fight is already too much stronger than yours you might as well pick a rat your self.

i concern about two things: not going mid and letting a retard go instead. not picking void and some retard pick it and ruins the game
i dont care about counter picking, and picking teamfight oriented heroes doesnt matter in pubs because ppl will ulti all together at the same time so it will be ineffective anyways

Some people focus a lot on counter picking and not necessarily people that work well with ur other heroes. Others dont care waht the other team picks and focuses on heroes that fight well together
