On a hardcarry, absolutely not.

If mid, building drums + PT would sound way better than Atos.
I used to build Clinkz with Atos which is kinda like buying blink, but blinks probably better even though atos gives survivability.

Terrible on Medusa, but a good item on some other heroes. Abbadon is one of them, Skywraht also is good with it and then there are some other int heroes who can use it.

Atos is good for heroes that have an already natural slow or need to increase hold on a hero while chasing and is equally good for heroes that require the int/mana as well as the additional HP it can provide.

Examples of this are... Veno, Chen, OD, Visage, Axe, I could also see it working on invoker but invoker players would never go for that as the invoker build seems to be very set in stone atm.

I'd rather bloodstone/linken's...I don't care if they're nearly double the price...

@Havoc: Atos is great on Invoker when you go against Nyx. The extra HP prevents him from soloing you and the slow is great for killing him since it doesn't proc the carapace.

I highly recommend that item when for example, your offlaner is 1v1 against Nyx and opposing team aggro tri on a hard lane. That means he will get a lot of xp/farm. Rush Atos asap.

Wow you overestimated Nyx's damage potential so hard man. Unless he goes for the fastest dagon of his life he shouldn't be able to solo kill you most of the game.

Yea but in a real game you are not always at full HP and that manaburn hits HARD.

You need agility stats and manta in addition to stacking hp/mana. She has such a great spell that works on illusions (q). That's why people get items on her that have ultimate orbs (linkens, manta, skadi).

Get a necro instead. It also gives HP but both mana burn and true sight are extremely good vs Nyx as well.

Before you get necro 3, you are already dead 3 times and he has dagon. Plus he still pops the carapace and fucks off.

I think it'd be viable on a mid-game Medu if your team is blessed with a 5th pick Void. Stone gaze is amazing for defending towers, and a quick Atos may help.

why atos when u have ult? Rather spend that money on soulbooster into bloodstone. Will work better with the mana shield.

back in the day it was that 2k HP and 2k mana pool, medusa with butter and linken that was scarey.

And she still is.
