General DiscussionMy 17 th game was vs leaderboard player?

This was actually going to be a topic I was going to look into at a later date. Quite consistently at the start when the player base was really small myself and a lot of players played with a lot of the current top global players but where did they succeed where you and others didn't. What did they do differently? Did you have friends that pulled you down? Did you take the game less seriously and stagnated due to not caring?

mr pec was solo and i was with 1 mate with exact same winrate.
I was at 20 kda untill about that time then steady at 10 for a while. unsure if that even effects it.

I find it very strange tho how the MM works. Some games i get 2-3k wins people with 60% winrate.

and sometimes i get 45% winrate scrubs who clearly are no 5-6k which is the most common
Oh and i should add that same as you havoc i used to play with perhaps 40 others on the leaderboard and i still do even on this account even tho im no way near my 6k mmr friends.

@vrok you played with kome which i also just got placed with on that same account....
mm is strange my theory is you gain about 1k "nonranked" MMR per win at the start and that same MMR is almost exactly the same as the normal real ranked mmr.

I say this with about 5 smurfs behind me to support the theory so i might be wrong.

No i dont play with him, but i know who it is, ive met him sometimes and my rusfriends play with him afaik

I have 3.8k mmr and I matched with arteezy once.
maybe arteezy has low non-rank mmr... who knows ...

It's not surprising at all. Non-ranked MM is beyond terrible. Just look at this game. http://dotabuff.com/matches/657836569 Furion has 6 games man. 6... And Invoker has only 60.
