That's not how armor works. If you have 10 armor and 1000 HP, your EHP is 1600. If you have 20 armor and 1000 HP, your EHP is 2200. You get it because it's the best AS item in the game and it helps your entire team. Also no, Mjollnir isn't better for pushing. You already have dragon form to clear creeps, and minus armor obviously helps a lot.
yes because assault cuirass only adds armour to the owner of the item, thats literally all it does. /roll_eyes
15 armor is a lot more than 5% more tankiness against right clicks. Each point of armor gives you an extra 6% of your HP in EHP (against physical based damage).
Ok, at lv 16, with drums and treads, with no other items, assault gives you 12% more tankiness against right click. (According to the game's tooltip).
DK has 1650 HP and i assume EHP is calculated by seeing what armor defends, which is 68% making his EHP 5150.
Without assault he has 56%, which is 3750. Oh shit.

I do have one question: Should you go for small items like dominator or mordiggans, or big items like assault?
Because -armor, armor aura, attack speed, and armor are AMAZING on a hero with retarded amounts of hp and aoe damage?

also, why is DK so good at mid while he is still mostly a carry, most other carries dont go mid ? is it because his passive allows him to sustain in lane and with botltle he actually has enhough mana to use his spells ? or is there some secret tactics behind it ?
Dominator is great for stacking the elite camps and then clearing them with your ult aoe later. I really don't like armlet but many swear by it. And mjollnir is a very good item on him, I'd say just as good as AC. It depends on your team lineup I think. Maelstrom is a really nice early/mid item though while AC you'd be doing a naked hyperstone. I don't go tons of small items, because bkb is pretty necessary as is dominator in my view, dominator is fairly cheap and bkb builds very nicely so those are your small items as you build.
Screw BKB right? You gotta either get a fast shadowblade for ganking or a fast BKB. But you should get a BKB even after the Shadowblade because he already has high armor and if you give him magic immunity, he is a pain in the rear to kill.
@sam I usually go boots, dominator, maelstrom, bkb. It would be nice to get bkb sooner but dominator early is necessary for stacking for flash farm later, and I really like maelstrom for pushing up waves early, getting some farm there. When I rush bkb my farm is usually awful.
@noob your skill choices are also quite important. You need to max his nuke fast, I used to always max his passive but it's really quite dumb, that early the hp regen and armor are negligible. And his stun only gets .75 longer at max vs rank one. If you max his nuke you can clear waves and farm quickly.
My lifetime stats with dk aren't very good cus I didn't know how to build him and was always way underfarmed, but I posted a similar thread a month ago and based on that advice made some adjustments, last 6 games am 4-2. So improving a bit with these tips.

You're spending 5k gold for possibly 5% more tankiness against right clicks. A halberd/butterfly would be better in that regard, besides isn't the point of dk pushing? isn't mjollnir better for that?
