the way NaVi and Alliance has been playing currently they are lucky to be considered a tier 1 team.......
They won MLG T.K.O , Monster Energy and 3rd place in Starladder IX is more than enough considering the top two were DK and Empire.

For Starladder 9 I wouldn't call 3rd place winning. As for MLG TKO.. having only Cloud 9 and a bunch of tier 3 and 4 teams isn't considered challanging. When I mean MAJOR I mean 1st or 2nd place with 25K+ earnings.
your criteria is flawed and biased and by your standards only teams who won TI can be top.(NaVi / Alliance etc.) Team EG and Cloud 9 are both newly formed teams and have yet to have a chance at TI level money. Alliance and NaVi are not playing well currently at all which is reflected in their rankings. Alliance is struggling to even make it into the upper bracket in alot of the tournaments atm. Can they win TI ?No doubt they have the skill and the experience to win it BUT not if they continue to play like they are now....

I Agree they're hiding under the radar to conceal their tactics, you will see that suddenly out of now where in the MLG their god-like form. EG is good at pub games lol, they tend to choke during big competitions and that is where it matters.
EG balling right now might actually be a good thing. It raises morale which I think is something critical on the world stage.
Regardless of how famous these players are, everyone gets nervous, even Dendi.
you act like Alliance / NaVi are the only teams hiding trump cards. An example of this was when cloud 9 was forced to show EE's tinker that they where hiding for a long time to take a series

DK was ahead of them but they've lost to a ton of random Chinese teams since SL9 so they dropped right?
yeah. most important thing is they got kicked out of ESL round 1 due to single elimination
but the score was more like tying with random teams in WPC

Just noticed post-Starladder 9 they been ranked at top 1 team in dota 2 from both http://www.gosugamers.net/rankings and http://www.joindota.com/en/edb/teams# . I know DK, Alliance & NAVI been underpreforming but serious getting this team ranked number one who hasn't won a MAJOR tournament since 2nd place in Dreamhack 2012 summer & winter tournaments it a bit dated?
Seriously they need to fix their weighted games. Say a 10,000 and under tournament is 1X. Then a 50,000 one should be at least 3x or 4x. And TI should be 20x or 10x.
Having teams that formed in 2014 like C9 and Team Dog have 3-4 ratings over NAVI & ALliance whom are TI champions is a bit not right. Also considering NAVI & Alliance have a higherr winrate of 68 & 70% vs. C9 & Team Dog's dismal 58% & 64% win rate.
