How does it work in cs:go?

Check my last game.... no 1 even said anything or abused anyone or fed or anything but jakiro just starts diving towers at lvl 1 -.- free loss yay

if u leave a game, u get restricted from playing ranked for 1 month and if you team kill faggots on a daily basis, they ban u for good

also in cs go you can play with 4 friends and your rating will increase instead of separate it

cs go developer team should replace dota developer team

It's much harder to get a good working system in DotA though.. That should be quite obvious and you should know it if you have an average working logic.

However I agree on being unable to play ranked for x amount of time if e.g. you've not played a dota game in 1month + etc.

1.merge solo/party rating
2.abandon once = 2 weeks ban, do it again within 1 week, 1 month ban
3.hide bottle/items/get courier intentionally killed = 1 month ban, increase 1 month each time you get banned

Dota is a game. In a game where there is winning or losing, someone who is competitive is bound to get pissed off. If he says something right pull down your ego and listen to him or just mute him if you cant tolerate it. Simple Really ...

and how do you control this? cause somethimes its good to do something, sometimes is bad, so you cant have a computer checking it, so players need to report, but if you can ban somebody with a simple report then a milion of bans will be trown in, so those reports needs to be checked, and with about 6 milion players each month (instead of that less than a milion from cs) you will have to go through a shit ton of those reports each day, you wanna do that? me not

I never played Competetive mode in CS:GO so can't say much, but 1 month is just too big. Just because your modem sucks and crashes, you shouldn't get punished for 1 month imo.

its not really 1 month instantly, first time its 24 hours, next time its 1 week and so on

1 month is the longest ban you can get

What if it's bad but still the best one you can afford? Also it could be unstable. But I kind of agree, LP doesn't cut it at all, needs some sort of time based ban.

i agree they should have some strict penalties for leaving/griefing/intentional game ruining (in fact i fed couriers and did some shit a few days ago cuz i was pissed off at the team, and despite people threatening to report me i never got punished LOL)

i don't get why u would want to merge party/solo rating, what's ur reasoning behind this?

cuz solo and party is dumb as fuck just make it one rating since there is no solo queue option anyway

slight problem there, cs:go costs money whereas dota 2 is free to play. it makes more sense to have strict rules on a game people PAY to play because having your time ruined on that does more damage. whereas dota 2 is free to play so having a griefer on a game you are getting absolutely for free isnt so much damage.

oh also the fact that its free to play means if you ban someone for 1 month or even for life theyll just make a smurf steam account and play dota 2 that way.. costs them nothing ergo it would do pretty much nothing.

and before you say "well what if someone who has a lot on their dota 2 account griefs, theyd pay for it!" well no because if someone has played 1000 matches of dota 2 and gathered up a bunch of nice stats and items etc they arent going to throw it away like an idiot if they know a 1 month ban is possible so that wont happen either.
