It just shows me as offline, also it shows everyone as offline to me. I can't connect to dotabuff via my computer so I do so from work where I am already signed in basically my steam is restricted from any kind of incoming connection whether via steam or third party.
I've noticed you being in the channel but offline, I still have you on my friends list (didn't check today, gotta do it when I get home).
I hope no real damage has been done.
Its always a bothering shit to take care of everything, tickets, maybe even phone calls etc.
I have to login via browser to accept friend request, can't even do that via the steam platform. This whole thing has just been a massive farce and has annoyed me immensely. Some people are still waiting for coaching which I haven't forgotten just simply been hindered by this happening.

@within my account got bummed and ransacked while I was on holiday and lost a lot of items worth something, got them all back but my account is currently under restrictions till I confirm all is well on the open ticket, which I did 4 days ago.
Unknown, as most people would assume that it was through a link or something odd but this was direct and I have had a look through my routers trace logs and I have located the origin and way/means of the break in.
Accessed through port 4000 which is a slave port for transfer protocols, this was possibly due to carelessly revealing local settings on joining various servers and voip clients.
NOTE: Always go into your firewall settings and make sure that there are no open ports that you are unaware of.
Trace goes back to Russia (what a surprise) but I did also to manage to track and trace all the various accounts my items had wandered and managed to report and get them all back as original not just replacements.
I think Steam handled it well and were helpful just the response time was slow. After it all happened I thought about it and I realized that Valve don't realize the danger of valuing and monetizing in game items. To the extent where people are willing to break the law and risk jail time simply because they feel it is a game and they're kids and doing it for the 100 keys.
I think the casual way Valve handle their security is the reason this is so common. In the same way blizzard cracked down super hard on issue like this and even added bank level security to ensure that accounts were protected simply because they realized the danger of having a monetized and value based item system.
The biggest issue for me isn't even the items as most of the people who are doing this are kids and poverty stricken teenagers who live in the east block or Russia. Its the fact that Valve, having taken such a lax approach to the whole security thing basically devalue the consequences of what are illicit and sometimes severely taken offenses.
All is well and I think after years and years of peace and safety from internet troubles I forgot they existed at all and probably let my guard down by not running scheduled checks and maintenance while practicing safe browsing/gaming.
think about the money this people make, it might sound silly, but there's quite a lot at stake, and it might be possible that they target accounts of value ofc.
I would also suggest turning off offline trades so people can't instigate these things. Also perhaps making your profile private so people can't see or bot search inventories like yours for certain items.
Mine is fairly worthless bar 4 items that I have which are worth about $400 each and the rest (genuines etc) come to about another $200-$300 which in total makes the items worth about $2000. Its just what happens when you have a like 4 really good trader friends and have played the game for two years....also the two weta items didn't help.
