I got 300+ in the last 2 months. http://dotabuff.com/players/92837832/matches?hero=&lobby_type=ranked_matchmaking&game_mode=&match_type=real
I stacked in most of these non-jakiro games :P
I play lich sometimes if I want some easy points - go offlane, sacrifice creaps, kill enemy carry or just harras a lot and leave without lots of creeps.
I have gained maybe 750 mmr with support only in maybe 4 months. You have to roam a lot and be active around the map. Tp support, smoke gang mid etc, and get wards of course.
You can easy get lot of mmr with playing support, until you get 4 Russian in team. Then even puppey won't help you
One easy way to gain +500 is to throw like 30 games in a row to get -500. Then, start playing for real.

I have gained solo350 point after my calibrate, io spam+ good gameplay.
Heat %80wr= io+ medium-high carry player
i'm doing it mostly and you need to be a masochist... thats for sure
my experience so far: http://i.imgur.com/MDM8M2j.png (solo only, after calibration games, 90% hard support)
calibration games 1 win, 9 lose (not so much fun)
I went from 4k to 3.3 k trying to carry the game... every game.. Then i realised ppl dnt know shit about the concept of supporting(no wards no stacking or even pulling nc). Sitting at 3.7k solo atm after playing 4/5 roles.

A more standard approach would be to graph 2 additional lines, 1 that is mean + 2 std and another that is mean - 2 std. Some people call these lines Bollinger bands. They are easier to interpret since they interact with the MMR scale on the left to which the main line belongs. You can think of the space in between those lines as "likely MMRs" with the mean line being the most likely MMR.
Nope, when I played support the 50% forced win rate seems very real. Doesn't matter how well I play, I will almost always win one, lose one. Carry, if I play my ass off as a mid or early/mid game carry it seems like the outcome is much more closely tied to my performance. Like I win mid, we win, I get a good lead on luna we win.
