you cant play a qw invoker aginst sniper. he has amazing projectile speed. well i take that first sentence back. you can. his base damage is only 1 higher than invoker so the main problem is his projectile speed. you would need to stand closer to every creep you last hit. invoker projectile speed is around 900 while sniper is around 3000. that means snipers projectile will travel about three times faster than invokers. this means if sniper is standing 900 units away from his target, invoker needs to be standing within about 260 units of the creep in order for yours to hit first. standing near creeps makes it a lot eaiser. also, you should work on your mid skill techniques as well. animation canel when last hitting and make him help you last hit. this is what i usually do. i fake people, start to attack when you really can't last hit it then cancel right after he attacks. he will have already attacked and while he is waiting to attack again, you finish your last hit. there are many more mid skill techniques like that.
start with maybe four mantles to try and balance your base damage. if the sniper has any common sense though, he will fuck you and you will get no last hits and be harassed to death. with most enemies you go aginst middle with invoker that are difficult, you need forge spirits to harass. in pubs especially, people do not check spirits stats or yours. so get one level in exort to 'fool' your opponent and harass him with a good hp critter. he will likely get distracted giving you better lh potential. you could also send the spirit you go stack in the jungle for you. two camps stacked three times by 7ish minutes is a lot of gold to retrieve later. you can do this even if you are getting last hits but if the harass with spirits does not work do this method. tell sprits to attack the enemy as you get last hits but dont just let them follow him under the tower and die. ice wall also seems to make pub fucks retreat giving you last hit potential. when i play invoker, i usually out lane sniper, od, viper no problem. now who i do hate is slark but thats another discussion.

Just had a game where i went quas wex, against a sniper in midlane and roaming supports..basically i cannot get a single last hit, pressued by their heroes and it was downhill for me since then I literally got a 9 minutes phase boots. It's also hard to gank with quas wex when you're level deprived
