I had a guy on the other team abandon before picks. Still got MMR. I'm a fan of this change. :P
abandon before picks? As in loading screen?
That kinda sucks. I thought it was good that players could leave a game before pick screen. Made it so they could avoid playing with players already muted.
I think it was right before we spawned in fountain. He hadn't picked yet but everyone else had.

I didn't see the patch notes on this, but if someone abandons at the start of a match, before first blood, your whole team has to leave or it will count. That means that lone Russian or Peruvian you got stuck with whose to dumb to understand will stay and lose the game. You will lose ranking points. I am not making this shit up, this is not a troll, Valve finds ways to dumb shit from every angle, you never see em coming.
Haven't tested, not sure if you can use it as a safety net as well. After abandon and play out game, if your gonna lose all quit before they can take base. Might be another exploit involving intentional abandons for safe wins provided the opposing team doesn't leave.
