If a support has enough gold for dagon 5, which is nearly 8K total, then they'd have more than enough for a scythe. IMO dagon helps but scythe would have helped more

the supports had more than enough money for scythe and a gem, plus dagon 5 did nothing vs a maxxed weaver which i expected you all should have known.

and a question, if i want to increase mmr, do I have to buy everything that is needed even if im mid, or carry? they could have bought those items for so long but never did.

If you want to increase you MM you need to carry your team. If everyone on your team is doing equal work that means you are in the right MM range. Carrying can come from a variety of ways

Playing a carry, getting fat and killing everyone
Playing a support and set up situations where less skilled players thrive (proper lane control, ganking etc)
Playing the mid role causing havoc for the other team (this does not mean chasing down easy support kills)

this also includes buying wards/sents, smoke, dust, gem etc. and pretty much whatever it takes to win. I tend to build necro book on my BH to speed up the game before BH drops off late game.

TLDR: To increase your MM you have to more than the avg person at that MM

this match is a fairly decent example of what you need to do to increase your MM

dagon 5 necro is legit. and it scales incredibly well with ethereal blade and aghs as add-ons. its also amazing in that game since you have easy ways to remove his linkens and he had like no hp items (manta and linkens were his only +hp items). =

if you really wanna mmr-whore go play np like sampson said or brood/es.

also if nobody is buying wards go buy them. spending 150 gold to make sure your team doesn't lose the game off of pickoffs is 100% worth it. and if you're a hard carry...that's 3 cs, same with mid.
