I don't understand why they would do this and then not relax the threshold for "no stats recorded" since pretty much the only reason it was so strict was to prevent stacks dodging losses by having 1 person abandon.

Darkness I was never "on the abusers side". Someone merely claimed, a false claim, that a particular stack did not defeat a Virtus Pro stack when I know they did because I watched the game. I don't care if some group played a bunch of games in LPQ or LHM or against Russians or whatever...

I realize that there is some concern that people doing this would be unfairly stomping nubs, but they are not. Really they are unfairly beating the 2nd best team in the que with a team significantly better that would not usually be in that que. The dodges come into play if/when they realize they are not the #1 team and ended up being the #2 team against an even better team. It is possible that the new #1 team could be a lot better (like a stack of pro players) so some groups who do this dodge the game.

I think its childish of anyone to dodge games, but if they want to wimp out to fake their stats and make themselves feel better that's their business. If they then want to claim they did not do it and got great stats playing difficult games, then I will oppose them as I did 3 or 4 times already when someone tried to pretend they had near 100% win rate. It does make sense that a dodge should count as a loss. I think everyone would agree with that, probably even the tiny handful of people who were using dodges to inflate their winrate. They might be sad about the loss of their fake label, but they must know that running away is losing. They already knew those were games they lost no matter what the dotabuff stats said.

Except people didn't and still don't dodge primarily to inflate winrate, they do it to avoid terrible games that nobody is going to have any fun whatsoever in.

you should also get an abandon if you don't connect after accepting match

I believe it was needed and we might see the "fruits" of this new system pretty soon already today.
So far looks like it's one of the most decent patches they've done

Are you all retarded or what? Nobody dodges after the load time in stacks. All this is going to do is that people who get disconnected or have to leave from time to time will hurt their friends and make the community worse because anger will occur...

I dont really care if it counts as a loss or whatever... So far i have ~650 games and 0 abondon, its sad this way I will probably get some :(

I hate solo-queue, I prefer 2-3 stacks so I know the person I support, I cant communicate with russian carries who doesnt speak english... And if I soloqueue, get them too often. Its almost every game in lowprio, so meh... And I also like hats :D
