[Recruit][US E/W] Forming a New Very High Skilled Team in General Discussion
PapaKarcher

Hello! My name is PapaKarcher, some of you might know me as TheKarcher from my days of HoN when I did some shoutcasting. During my time as a HoN player, I had thousands of games played and was in the 1800-1900 MMR Bracket. Nowadays, I play Dota 2 and my stats can be seen at my dotabuff here http://dotabuff.com/players/49789905

I have decided to put together a VERY competitive DOTA2 team. Well what does that mean? I am looking for four other players that want to be the best and want to invest the time to do such. This is not an overnight task, this is something that if you wish to join this team, I want people who take it seriously and are prepared to take some time to grow as a team and get stronger. I want people who have the skill, the talent, the patience, and the ability to adapt and learn. I want people that WANT to play against the best of the best, and get better.

The gist is I want teammates that are ready to practice and eventually compete at the HIGHEST tier of play. If you do not think you have the time to invest with a team to reaching the point of being able to give some of the top teams in the world a run for their money, this is not the team for you.

For those that do think this is the team for you, here are the minimal requirements for being considered to join the team.

Must have at least 500 games of Dota 2 played.
Must have won at least 50% of all games played. I know for mostly solo players, these can be kinda hard, but as I am trying to recruit across multiple sites, I need some kind of basic way of eliminating people.

The following is important for those who meet the above, and still wish to join the team.

Must be in USE or USE west. Simply due to timezones and practicing.

Must be age 18 or older. I need children that can't practice because they are grounded or something, though if 16-17 year olds can assure me with some proof they can practice, I can let it slide.

Must have a mic and speak clear and easy to understand english

A computer that won't piss out constantly and stable internet connection.

The TIME to dedicate to playing the game. Mondays thru Wednesdays should be hands down ALWAYS free to practice starting at 8-10pm for at least 3 hours depending on whats best for the team. Weekends must also be somewhat open due to tournament play. Other days of the week must also be open to practice depending on whats best for the team as a whole.

Must be willing to accept the fact we WILL lose, especially early as the team comes together.

Must LISTEN and OBEY the team leader and drafter. Someone has to make the judgement call and listen, even if the player does not agree with the play simply so that we have a chain of command. At the moment, that will be me, but admittedly when it comes to DOTA 2 I have minimal experience drafting, and would be open to handing the reigns down to someone with more experience and simply maintaining a simpler manger role. If you do have drafting experience, please say below.

Must be able to keep a coolhead during games and to never rage at a teammate while in a game. This is very important and why most teams fall apart early on. We will make team-mistakes often as we grow together, and we have to be supportive of each other. Any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is to be held after a game/series. We all will make mistakes, we just need to learn from and accept that they happen.

At the moment, these are the most important things. If you think you have what it takes to join, then I ask you leave the following.

Whatever else you think I should know. These spots will be very competitive, and if you can't spend a few minutes telling me why you should be on the team over someone else, then you probs don't have enough time dedicate like I would hope.

If I reply to your post, Add me on steam. DO NOT try to add me on steam unless I reply to your post simply because I do not wish to be overwhelmed and I can keep track of things.

I will be on basically all day today and tomorrow, after I add you I would like to have a interview with a mic over steam chat. After that, we will either do something to tryout or reschedule for another time.

    Good Luck to all applicants!

I have a 49.5% win ratio at the moment. However, I play solo a lot and have actually improved by 2-3% over the last month. Let me know if this is a problem. I would like to tryout to show you that I can play. I have been playing DotA since 2004.

I have been playing DotA 2 for a little over a year now after switching from League of Legends which i played for 2 years, I have recently begun practicing to become a high level player in the carry position; as can be seen from my most recent games I dedicate all my time to playing a late game carry. I do not claim to be the best at last hitting however I am willing to work with the team to improve on any and all skills needed to win.

Another aspect of my game-play that I see as a strength is my determination to win, I understand that we will lose some games however I do not give up after the first team wipe as you see most 'pub' players do, I play til the ancient hits the dirt.

If you have any other questions or want to reject me feel free to message me on steam anytime.
