I dislike them too, their playstyle is pretty disgusting, they pick Furion every single game and keep farming and split pushing. I hate it.

Alliances playstyle is a little wild and if you noticed super push heavy but it gets the job done. If you watched the games (I am sure you did) it wasn't just pub luck. There were some really big plays pulled by them to comeback on two occasions where they basically won the game from just one good teamfight.
I think it will be NaVi and Alliance in the finals which should prove interesting if nothing else. Two very different playstyles might either win them hard or have both teams doing big plays.
I love alliance and im pretty damn sure that you dislike them, cause you are afraid of your favourite teams losing to them. For me they play interesting dota, versatile, powerful, they dont overextend and have amazing execution. Yeah, they pick furion- if you know admiralbulldog's hero pool, you might know why. They prefer mobile lineup, global presence, quick engagements.... Yeah, they like the farm- because they know how strong and game changing some items are (bkbs, blinks, force staffs, they have lots of them). Navi vs Alliance should be a really good match.
If what they do wins the game so it is worth doing what they do. I think Alliance will start losing the important games though because they give away how they play and they need to change their tactics one time or another because other teams analyze games.
So buying back is dirty tactics now? Should they just sit there and watch teams take racks even if they have 3000 gold?

- they dont know how to lane? pretty much they are the best laners in the scene right now. True story.
- they farm. but they dont do this infinitly like some chinese teams(100min game? compare that)
- aliiances thinking is that buyback is a tool. They like using it, because this way- they win teamfights, or at leasst bite back. Its a good thing they are not afraid to do that.
- split pushing wins games. You might want to hard push, you might want to win team fights, you might want to pick some heroes before doing anything else, you might want to split push. Versatility makes dota fun.

So what about the times when Alliance picked Ursa? The times they baited Roshan? The times they raxed in 8 minutes? The times S4 went on Pudge? Cut this bullshit about boring picks when you obviously haven't watched them play much, they have one of the larger hero pools among most competitive teams.

Alliance doesn't play boring at all. They have a really standard style which they use, but they have some of the best pocket strats, like rosh bait, tp to rosh, saw a dual mid strat, etc.

IF failed miserably balancing this version for the tournament. He nerfed too many heroes but failed to address the few that was left, look at that invoker, everyone know it's a fun hero, but only picked once by iceiceice. Just like how volvo mess with the MM lol
NP had a losing record overall at TI3. Bulldog just plays it a lot better than the other pros.
Alliance is not winning with a few OP hero picks. They are winning every game, whatever is picked by superior teamfight coordination, superior warding, and superior map rotations. They are making fewer mistakes than other teams. Alliance also makes use of baits far better than other teams. They are the only one who uses buybacks effectively to do a "tactical feed" and get the enemy to commit to a fight they cannot win just because it appears to start with a pick-off on an important hero who can buy back and is able to immediately port back in. Usually Bulldog does this because its easier on NP, but other alliance players also conveniently die near their towers with the rest of the team in fog behind them...buy back and teamwipe the enemy.
All Alliance strat is farm, survive lane, then capitalize on the mistakes of the opponent. if Alliance loses a single lane, then their strat changes which is the time to apply pressure since their not used to losing their lane and being pressured is an easy way to cause panic and terror on to the team.
if they do bad on the lane they have natures prophet or some tower defendant like kotl, or just alchemist acid spray, teams need to aggresive ward Alliance more and it is something they are failing it which is costing them the game, I would like to see wards around the back of their tiers two turrets in order to intercept any kind of farm.
until then Allliance picks heroes that allow for turtelling and their execution allows them to outplay most players if playing on par of gold to cause map stress against the opponent and delay in order for them to farm, it is the same thing over and over again.
As I already said, you pick heroes you are comfortable with. Of course you pick each player's signature hero if possible because that is always the best thing you can do. I know as a viewer it sucks seeing Alch Naga Chen and Furion in almost every one of their games but even though they pick all the same heroes again and against, not a single team has found a way to counter their strat. And that shows how good the team actually is.
and they pick those heroes + 1 or 2 randoms because the other ones are banned or picked! else we would see some good fucking ass rape every game ---> and i mean RAPE RAPE like the pudge games (not the last one)
They lost that game because they gave S4 dragon knight instead of a playmaker hero. This error has been knocking teams out of the tournament the whole time and most are not learning. A solo mid hero has to do more than just not die and get levels and bit of cs. The solo mid player on each pro team is a guy who wants to make the big play and is good at it...when you cripple him with a hero that has a low skill cap he can't do much no matter how great a player he is.
Dragon knight is in the tutorial for a reason. Its very easy to play, hard to screw up and can't do much. The best you can do on a dragon knight is lothars in and stun one hero...that is so easy to counter in a pro game. The solo mid hero needs to be something like a Puck that can truly jump in 1 second from "we don't see the enemy" to "oh crap we are going to lose the fight".

They lost to antimage, they were worse in that match, bulldog didnt play as well as he wanted to, but most importantly, alliance didnt have too much control during the teamfights, they lacked mobility. I agree with Relentless, dragon knight is a safe pick, but not too creative, its not like dk makes the "big" plays like puck, bat or even nyx(even though i didnt like that pick from [A] vs Na'Vi.

All they do is farm farm farm farm. When you gank them they buy back and you are dead. When you team fight and used all your skills, they buy back and kill you. Dirty play, dirty team.
